This book was just terrific. At the end of the book the author puts a note in there that she knew all along what Nova's secret was from the first time she was introduced but I would have never guessed. I guessed many things but none of them were right.

This is the 3rd and last book in the series sort of. The author is writing an after college book for Thea and Xander (the couple from book 2), but this story starts and ends Nova and Jace's story. Jace and Nova are both introduced in book 1, Rae of Sunshine and if you haven't read it yet, it is still my fave in this series, however I would say this is my second favorite.

In book 1 Nova is introduced as this wild photographer friend to Rae. They form a friendship in that book on their shared interest. Rae's love interest in that book is Cade and Cade has two kids he grew up with Xander, and Jace. Thats how Nova and Jace are introduced. But in this story, Jace has graduated. He works as a bartender and writes songs too. He and Nova are best friends and roomies and none of the friends have a clue.

HOWEVER both have the hots for the other. Jace has never done serious and Nova keeps everyone at a distance, except for Jace and well Jace cannot resist Nova either. This is the story about how they go from roomies and best friends to lovers to girl/boy friends and beyond.

For them to get there they have to open up their "dark hearts" to the other and share their secrets which I am not spoiling. This story was fun, sweet and romantic. Which also describes this entire series. I love this group of friends and wish I could hang out with them in real life. I totally loved how Jace is 100% behind Nova no matter what and that she is also 100% behind him no matter what either.

As a side note a new character, Joel is introduced who has a crush on Nova and causes Jace some jealous moments. I loved him. In fact I had my own theory about his character and I would LOVE if the author wrote a story for him.
