This is the second book in the series about the Harris families kids. It stars Jacob Harris who lives and works as a vet in the small town of Silver Ridge. It easily stands alone and you will see characters from previous books and the authors series but its just at family gatherings, they are not a big part of the story.

This story was really more like chik lit than a romance in my opinion. There is a romance but its an extremely slow burn romance. They don't even kiss until over 80% of the story has happened. And when it finally happens it was awesome and very hot but its so close to the end of the story that its a bit glossed over.

While its book two in the series I really felt that its about Josie, rather than Jacob Harris. And I absolutely adored her and loved this book so much. It was because of her and not Jacob. Even as part of the series I would expect more sibling time and interaction with the Harris parents but they are not really a big part of the story. 

Josie is a single mom who at age 16 got pregnant and gave up her dreams for her daughter Everly. She had an extremely supportive family and they are a big part of her life and I loved seeing them in this story. They had a big part in this story and they had some very bittersweet and fun scenes in this book.

Josie is a city girl who was a country girl inside. She has an aunt who lives in Silver Ridge and her and Everly come for a visit where they find that they love it there and its where they are supposed to be. Her aunt Kim loves horses and has a horse rescue ranch and it becomes Josie's dream to save horses as well. 

This dream is where Dr Jacob Harris enters her life and they have an adversarial relationship. It can be called hate to love romance but they never really hate each other but they also don't agree on much and Jacob is shall we say very bad with words and communication and he offends Josie a lot.

This story was more centered on the horse rescue and Josie and Everly's new life and them fitting into Silver Ridge. I would say the romance with Jacob was more of a forbidden relationship so Jacob fights against it very much because she owns his patients and he likes to keep personal and business separate. That is why its such a slow burn romance and things don't heat up until 80%. Honestly I would have much rather had them kiss sooner and seen them date more in the story. But when they finally did I was excited for them. Beyond that this was an entrancing story and I adored Josie so much. She is one tough cookie and she was an amazing mom to Everly.

This was my first time reading this author and I absolutely adored this story. The characters were so much fun and I could not stop giggling and sighing about how fun Ridley was and how romantic Finn was.

Finn and Ridley meet when he moves in next door and its definitely not love at first sight. In fact she starts off hating him because he is very impatient with her and she hates him because he keeps her up at night.

But they unite when the power hungry HOA new president starts harassing them and Ridley decides to have some fun with her and Finn comes a long for the ride. 

The two become good friends and it leads to more and adored every page in this story. I laughed and cheered and was totally charmed by this wonderful romance.

“People are always watching you, aren’t they?” I ask.

 This is my first book by this author. It's supposed to be the first book in a series about a family who runs a matchmaking service with her grandmother (Nana) in an area called Highland Hills,

The first book stars Bryn who has a number of siblings:

- Holly is her twin who ran away from Highland Hills and moved to NYC. She convinces billionaire Rory to work on a new matchmaking app.

- Rowan is her brother

- Ivy is her sister and a romance author who lives in Charleston 

- Willow is her sister and she is engaged to a famous author. The book this happens in is Matchmaking Mischief. 

The billionaire in this story is Rory Bryne, who previously dated Tina from Fraudulently Ever After. We see Tina and her fiancee Zach in this story as they are friends with Bryn and live in the town of Highland Hills. 

Rory who met Holly in NYC and convinced him to create a matchmaking app, comes to Bryn and Nana and wants to become parners with them. Nana agrees if he allows them to match him on 4 dates, Rory convinces Bryn to accompany him on dates and find the dates for him. And so starts their business relationship that turns to friendship and so much more.

This was hijinks type of story. The plotline was a bit over the top and Nana is definitely a character who is beyond over the top. Rory is a sweet and sexy billionaire and I really liked him for Bryn. Bryn is wise to Nana's craziness, and she is character that loves her family and town but has a love/hate thing with Nana. I think my favorite characters in this story was Cole, the bars owner and his nemesis Holly who is Bryn's twin and sister. I hope their story is next.

I enjoyed the plot and the characters and enjoyed the plot but I felt like I was missing a lot of information as I read this story. I loved meeting the new characters in this book and in the quirky town of Highland Hills and cannot wait for more books in the series. But I did find it distracting from the story, the fact that some characters had other books in other series by the authors and I hadn't read them or known that info before I read this story.

This was a really fun romance between two people who work at the same company, he is Joshua Ward, not just works there but he is the boss of Ava's boss, Thomas, and they HATE each other when they first meet.

Before I go on I want to mention that this is book 2 in a series and the first book, Accidental Neighbor is the first book. I received a copy of that book to review as well and so I did read it first. While Bossy Mr. Ward can easily be read as a stand alone. I do suggest you read Accidental Neighbor first because it was an awesome story and also it introduces Ava, Josh and also Thomas  and their friend James who the 3rd book is about.

In Accidental Neighbor we get to know Thomas and his two daughters and his backstory and we also meet he much younger next door neighbor. It was also a fun story but its more of the hot teacher of his kids romance with a HUGE age gap and a second chance for love for Thomas. The scenes in  Accidental Neighbor were really great when we get to see Josh and Ava's scenes together and so I could not wait to get Josh Ward and Ava's story. How they began, what all the hate was about and watch them fall for each other.

Bossy Mr. Ward starts off at the beginning for both Ava and Josh. They both end up in very difficult positions when this story begins and they manage to turn their luck upside down and I loved watching them the first time they meet and why they hate each other.

Ava was such a hard worker and I liked getting more details on her work relationship with Thomas and how what happened to Thomas also impacts Ava's life and work relationship with Josh. We get a close look at how as they work together they start to let down some walls and start to appreciate the other and I loved how attracted they are to each other.

This was an awesome story the only thing I did not like was the mentions of Candace and then how she impacts the later part of the story. But I did adore Ava and how open and honest she is with Josh and I liked that he is so honest with her about things. The author could have dragged it out and I loved that she didn't.

This is my first book in this series. I am a fan of the author and have her other series but for some reason I have not read any books in this series until now. It features players who play on a hockey team called the Breakers. It is a stand alone story and it deals with some serious subjects like Dyslexia and Social Anxiety. 

In this story we meet Connor who goes by the name of Smitty. He is a player on the hockey team and Kailey is a newer part of the team on the behind the scenes way. She suffers from extreme social anxiety and Smitty is big, loud and he terrifies her.

Smitty is majorly crushing on Kailey from day one. He knows she is his one but she won't give him the time of day because he freaks her out. Meanwhile Smitty suffers from Dyslexia and even as an adult he struggles. 

When K and Smitty find out that they both have issues that make them feel inferior and that their families don't get it, well that's when these two start to understand each other. I really loved how they each had each others backs and they were there for each other.

It was a really fascinating story and one I learned some new things about Dyslexia and Anxiety. I adored how Smitty had K's back in relation to her nightmare of a father and I loved how K supported Smitty in relation to his brother.

This is part of a series but I have not read the previous books. This book stood alone very well but I loved it so much that I am excited about the future books coming out.

This is a fake romance trope book between two people who are very different. But the the differences really make this book a fun and interesting romance.

In this story we meet Dash and he is prince charming so much so that the person that he loves the most next to his sister, his grandmother doesn't see that while he might leading a dashing, reckless and fun life he also is a serious business man. His grandmother tells him he is cut off if he doesn't find someone to get serious about. Thats where he comes up with a plan to fake date a woman he met on the subway, Callie.

Callie is a sweetheart but she might have big dreams but  she has no clue on how to make it happen. Dash is a sweetheart too and I loved how he was with Callie. This story had some really fun scenes that made me cheer and giggle and swoon. I loved Dash's sister she was a lot of fun and I loved her scenes with Callie.

This was a really awesome, feel good romance that centered on Calie making her dreams come true and Dash was awesome as the guy to help make that happen for her.
