Image may contain: one or more people and text

Hanna Scott … she’s been my obsession since I was seventeen.

She’s the object of every dirty thought I’ve ever had.

I’m consumed.

I lust over her … albeit from afar.

She has no idea how I feel.

And my secret can never come out, because there’s one major hurdle standing in our way …  she’s my best friend’s little sister.

When she offers to stand in as my temporary secretary, I’m torn.

Will I be able to risk the temptation?

Or will I succumb and lose everything that I hold dear?

Addicted2Romance Review:

**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

This was a really sweet story about Harrison, also know as Harry and his huge crush, Hanna. Hanna is the little sister to his best friend and non blood brother, Ethan. The three grew up together but when Harry was 17, he started noticing the 15 year old Hanna.

For years he has lusted after Hanna but resisted because of Ethan. BUT then Ethan's wife, Michelle suggests that Hanna work at Harry's work with him as his assistant during her vacation from University, and thats how Hanna temps Harry. The two are super cute together and I loved their love story.

Now this is a very erotic story but its not super descriptive. There are lots of sex scenes but they do not take away from the story and the main story is not about Harry and Hanna but its more about their relationship with Ethan. Harry feels all the feelings he has for Hannah is a betrayal of Ethan and Hanna really does not see what the problem is.

This story was very sweet. I LOVED Hanna and Harry together. They are really good people who fall hard for the other and love Ethan. This was my first book by the author but I really enjoyed it.

“Good morning, Mr Williams.”
Mr Williams? She’s never called me that before. It’s always been Harry or Giant. That’s her comeback for me calling her Shrimp. She’s four-foot-seven, so my six-foot-three frame, towers over hers.
Spinning around, I almost swallow my tongue when I find her standing in the doorway to my office. She’s wearing a high-waisted tight fitting skirt that stops just above her knees. It hugs her body perfectly. I can see a hint of white lace protruding from underneath her white silk blouse. She looks like an angel. A sinfully, hot as hell angel. The thin red belt around her tiny waist matches her sexy red heels. She’s sex on legs, a walking fucking wet dream.
I swear I’m holding my breath as my eyes drink her in. Her long blonde hair is pulled into a bun at the nape of her neck, and the red rimmed glasses she’s wearing not only frame her beautiful blue eyes perfectly, they turn me the hell on. She has this naughty librarian thing going on and it instantly has my mind going into overdrive. I picture her releasing her long blonde locks from where they’re being held captive, and imagine her shaking her head from side to side as her hair comes loose and cascades down her lean back. I shake my head and suppress a growl as I try to bring my mind out of the gutter and back into reality. What in the hell is wrong with me? Like always, she’s playing the starring role in one of my many fantasies. This shit has to stop.
When my eyes finally meet hers, I find her smiling. Did she just witness me checking her out? Thank fuck she can’t read minds. I’d be in deep shit if she could. Having her here is going to be harder than I thought.
Clearing my throat, I tug at the tie around my neck as I take a step closer. I’m suddenly feeling claustrophobic. “You don’t need to call me, Mr Williams, Han.”
“What did your other Secretaries call you?”
“Mr Williams,” I chuckle.
She looks up at me from beneath her glasses and I’m pretty sure my heart just skipped a beat. I could drown in those damn eyes of hers. “Well, Mr Williams it is then.”
“I’d feel stupid hearing you call me that.”
“Only in the office,” she replies with a smile. “Outside of here, you’ll still be Giant, my brother’s pesky friend, or just plain old Harry.”
“Your brother’s pesky friend, hey?” I say, pulling her into a headlock.
“Yes,” she laughs.
“Take that back, Shrimp.”
“Okay. Only mildly pesky … and only on occasions.”
We’re both laughing when I release her. She’s like no other woman I know. Things are so easy around her, just like breathing.
“So now we’ve got that established, where do you want me to start?” I smile when she eagerly rubs her hands together. I like her enthusiasm.
“Come, your desk is out here.” The thought of moving her desk into my office, flashes through my mind. That would be asking for trouble; trouble I don’t need.
Placing my hand on the small of her back, I lead her out to reception. Once she’s seated, I get her to log onto the computer. “I have a conference this afternoon, I’m going to need you to make sure all the files are in order. I’ll also need you to print out copies of my presentation, for them to follow.”
“That sounds like something I could do.”
“Click on the Jensen merger file,” I say, leaning forward and pointing to it on the screen. I inhale a large breath when her fruity, yet flowery, smell invades my senses.
“Did you just sniff me?”
“What? No.” Standing to full height, I clear my throat. “Why would I sniff you?” I deadpan. Jesus. I’m starting to look like some kind of sniffing freak. In my defence, she shouldn’t smell so good. I need to get my shit together if I’m going to come out the other end of this unscathed.
“Okay. No need to get so defensive. I thought I heard you sniff.”
“Nope. No sniffing. I definitely didn’t sniff you.” I’m such a damn liar. I so sniffed her.
“Okay. You didn’t sniff me,” she says, shrugging her shoulders. “Relax. Geez. It’s no big deal.”
“I’ll email you a list of jobs that need doing this morning. After lunch, you’ll need to set up the boardroom for my presentation.”
With that, I turn and head back into my office. I need distance.

It’s safer.

Addicted2 Romance Review:

***I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. ****

This is a really fun, HOT and erotic book about friendenemies who grew up together, and also he is her brothers best friend. On top of all that both Wes and Natalie have the  hots for each other and are competitors in the high end realty business world.

The fun starts when Wes is very upset because Natalie keeps selling his houses and stealing his clients. So they challenge each other, if she sells this listing of his first she gets to join Wes and her brothers real estate company but if Wes wins she is his slave for two weeks.

So what do you think happens? Well I am not spoiling that but I will tell you that this book was SO fun. I truly fell hard for sweet and sexy Wes. And Natalie, she is so cute and she has a lot of fun getting on Wes' last nerve until he can't hold back anymore, and thats when the book gets so fun.

This is a first book in the authors new series connected to their previous series featuring the Kincaid brothers (Dirty Sexy Series). It stands alone and is one of the funnest and hottest books I have read in a while. I actually think its better than the previous series and I cannot wait for the next book about Wes' friend Max.

He sees the darkness in my heart but he’s not afraid, because he’s like me. They say opposites attract, but we’re proof that like-and-like are a far more potent combination.

Novalee Clarke is hiding from a past she wants to leave behind, and Jacen Kensington is running from his.

The thing about hiding and running is eventually the thing you’re trying to escape catches up to you.

And when it does?

It changes everything.

Addicted 2 Romance Review:

** I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

This book was just terrific. At the end of the book the author puts a note in there that she knew all along what Nova's secret was from the first time she was introduced but I would have never guessed. I guessed many things but none of them were right.

This is the 3rd and last book in the series sort of. The author is writing an after college book for Thea and Xander (the couple from book 2), but this story starts and ends Nova and Jace's story. Jace and Nova are both introduced in book 1, Rae of Sunshine and if you haven't read it yet, it is still my fave in this series, however I would say this is my second favorite.

In book 1 Nova is introduced as this wild photographer friend to Rae. They form a friendship in that book on their shared interest. Rae's love interest in that book is Cade and Cade has two kids he grew  up with Xander, and Jace. Thats how Nova and Jace are introduced. But in this story, Jace has graduated. He works as a bartender and writes songs too. He and Nova are best friends and roomies and none of the friends have a clue.

HOWEVER both have the hots for the other. Jace has never done serious and Nova keeps everyone at a distance, except for Jace and well Jace cannot resist Nova either. This is the story about how they go from roomies and best friends to lovers to girl/boy friends and beyond.

For them to get there they have to open up  their "dark hearts" to the other and share their secrets which I am not spoiling. This story was fun, sweet and romantic. Which also describes this entire series. I love this group of friends and wish I could hang out with them in real life. I totally loved how Jace is 100% behind Nova no matter what and that she is also 100% behind him no matter what either.

As a side note a new character, Joel is introduced who has a crush on Nova and causes Jace some jealous moments. I loved him. In fact I had my own theory about his character and I would LOVE if the author wrote a story for him.

Rescued by Love - The Ryders #4 By: Melissa Foster

Image may contain: 3 people, text

Addison Dahl is excited to return to Elpitha Island for her best friend Gabriella’s wedding. A weekend of sun and fun is just what she needs before setting out on her newest adventure—roughing it in the wilderness.

Addison is tough, she’s independent, and she doesn’t “do” feelings toward men. But lately her friend—and Gabriella’s brother-in-law—sinfully sexy and ornery-as-hell Jake Ryder has been the star of her late-night fantasies, and she can’t get him out of her mind. It doesn’t help that the chemistry between them is scorching hot.

With any luck, a few days in the wilderness will snap that craziness out of her head. As a top search and rescue professional, Jake Ryder spends his days saving those in need and his nights in the arms of willing women who offer nothing more than a few hours of sexual enjoyment.

But there’s only one woman he wants, and he’s spent the last several months trying to get beautiful, smart, and sassy Addison to give him one sinful night. He’s sure one night will lead to more.

The night of the wedding the heat between Jake and Addy ignites, and they’re powerless to resist their explosive passion. Wild kisses, sensual touches, and heartfelt conversations brings them closer together, and when the weekend ends, Jake is determined to keep Addy close and make her his. But Addy has other plans...

This book is about Jake Ryder. His brother is Duke and his sister is Trish from previous boooks and the story starts at Duke's wedding to Gabriela. Gabriela is also the heroine's best friend, Addison/Addy. Both Addy and Jake have the major hots for each other. They have been flirty and atrracted to each other for months, in fact neither can stop thnking about each other and have not been involved with anyone else, even if they have not actually gotten together yet.

So whats stopping them? Addy loves Gabriela and she loves Duke's family and so she doesn't want a fling with Jake if it will affect her relationship with Gabriela. Jake proposes they do a one night stand to get it out of their system. Do they do it? If they do will it work?

Well whatever they decide, they spend a whole weekend together because after Duke's wedding the Ryders also decide its the perfect time for Trish and Boone to get hitched too. So most of this book are a big party with family events with the whole Ryder family and not one but two weddings. Amongst the family events is the strong attraction Addy and Jake face and what they decide to do with it.

Image may contain: 3 people, people sitting and text

Once Jake and Addy face their attraction, he is worried about this 10 day adventure/hike she is planning on going all alone as a first time hiker. Jake is this Search and Rescue guy and so he knows the dangers and he is terrified for Addy to do it all alone. But she insists on doing it alone. So that is a big conflict in the story and while the adventure is a big part of the story, 70% of the book are the weddings and only the last 30% is when she goes hiking and her adventure while hiking.

At times I did not like Addy. She is very honest about her sexuality and One night stands are very common in her life. She fears commitment and marriage because her parents have a very bad relationship. I don't tend to like heroines who are so slutty, I guess and she owns her sluttiness. Despite that I ended up liking her by the books end and I could understand what she was trying to do with her 10 day adventure. At times she seemed silly and stubborn because who goes alone hiking/camping for ten days  as a newbie? Usually they end up hurt or worse. But I also undertood that she had this strong need to test herself.

Image may contain: 3 people, text

As to Jake I LOVED him!!! He made this book. He is an alpha. He is sexy, sweet and a total romantic and when he decides he wants Addy, OMG he really goes for it. I really fell in love with both Jake and Addy as a couple in this book and I totally felt they were made for each other.

No automatic alt text available.
The spicy scent of Jake’s cologne overrode the aroma of grilled meats and casseroles Gabriella’s relatives had spent all day preparing. Jake rested his elbow on the bar beside her, brushing his muscular forearm against hers and sending ripples of awareness to her core.

Who was she kidding? There was no distracting herself from the biggest distraction of them all.

“I think there are still a few guys you haven’t danced with yet.”

Of course Jake would go straight to pushing her buttons.

“I’ll have to take care of that, won’t I? Gab’s brother, Niko, is looking awfully hot tonight.” Niko was the epitome of a Greek heartthrob. Tall, dark, handsome, and as touchy-feely as the rest of Gabriella’s warm and loving family. He was also a shameless flirt.

Jake ground his teeth together, nearly paralyzing her with a blistering stare.

“I haven’t seen you dance all night. What’s the matter? Not into sexy island girls? Because I’m pretty sure that guy over there by the tree bats for the other team.” She enjoyed taunting the lion, even if she didn’t want to get too close. Her pulse beat wildly, and her fingers ached to grab him by the collar of his dress shirt and yank him down for what she knew would be an incredibly hot kiss. She tried to keep from dropping her eyes lower, but she was no match for the enticing ever-present bulge beneath his zipper. The one that became even more prominent when they were near. And damn, she liked knowing she had that effect on him.

Image may contain: 2 people

He leaned in close, his warm breath coasting over her cheek. “I’m not into dancing, but if you keep looking at me like that you might find yourself getting up close and personal with more than you can handle.”

She lifted her eyes to his, which had gone coal black, and she swallowed hard against the lust threatening to pour out her mouth. Addy was used to controlling every interaction and reveled in holding her own and taking what she wanted where men were concerned. Or at least she always had, until the King of Hotness standing next to her came into the picture. Jake definitely threw her off her game. Lately, when they were together, she caught herself wondering if what she was experiencing were actual emotions rather than impulses. That was one thing that had kept her from taking their flirting to the next level. His relationship to her best friend was the other. But boy did she want to cross that line. It had been way too long since she had been with a man, thanks to Jake. Every time she came close to satisfying the urge to feel the weight of a man pressing down on her and get lost in the throes of passion, goddamn Jake swam into her mind, stealing her focus and killing the moment. Her fantasy had become her own personal cockblocker.

Image may contain: 3 people, closeup

In an effort to reclaim the upper hand and prove he did not rattle her, she dragged her eyes over his chest again and said, “I have yet to meet a man who comes close to being what I can handle, much less more.”

The edge of his lips twitched as if they might quirk up, but he clenched his jaw, making the muscles beneath his dark scruff jump. He shifted his eyes away just as Niko headed toward them with a warm and inviting smile, making those jaw muscles work double time.

Niko nodded at Jake and offered his hand to Addy. “What kind of brother would I be if I didn’t dance with my sister’s beautiful best friend? Care to join me?”

“I’d love to.” Addy reached for his hand, taking pleasure in the tension rolling off of the man who had yet to ask her for a single dance but had no trouble inviting her into his bed.

Addicted2Romance Review:

** I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

I love Kaylee Ryan books. Yes I have read every single one at least once and every time I am amazed how wonderful they are. She really has a gift on creating down to earth characters that I just fall in love with. None of them are the most exciting books but what they are - are stories with HEART. Lots of heart, family, friendship and characters you will fall in love with and Southern Desire is absolutely beautiful.

I read the first book in the series awhile ago and I remember really liking Aaron's character. He is the brother of McKinley who ends up falling love and marrying Aaron's best friend, Evan, In this story Evan and Kinley now have two kids and she needs help with her photo studio and so she hires Whitney to work with her and that is how Aaron and Whitney get to know each other.

Aaron is a sweetheart and he grew up watching the deep love his parents had for each other. He has been searching for his "ONE" his whole life and he expects that he will magically know. So when he meets Whitney they form a friendship and before he knows it he learns he has been wrong his entire life.

Whitney, gosh she really broke my heart but in the best way. The book starts out where she loses her mother. As a Junior in High School her mom gets diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It takes years but she takes care of her mother until finally cancer kills her. Her father abandoned them years before and so she only has a best friend and a couple cousins and an aunt and uncle in Tennessee. And that is how she ends up working for McKinley in Tennessee as she seeks a closer relationship with her family.

But Whitney is simply heart broken. This is a girl that is still feeling the pain of her loss and as many people know Breast Cancer is never a very simple diagnosis. It really affects the entire family and  this book is also about how Whitney deals with the pain of her loss and how it affects her and her relationships in the future.

There are definite tear jerker moments in this bookbut it also has sighs and laughter as well. Its also a beautiful story about learning to move on and grow with the things life throws at you. It is a lot of fun and I loved how Aaron takes the city girl and turns her into a Country Girl.

Addicted 2 Romance Review

**ARC Received by the author for an honest review**

I am a big Restless Heart fan. This was actually my first rock and roll series and I truly have enjoyed all the books in the series. This is a book that can stand alone though I suggest you read them all to get a good history of what all the characters have been through over the years.

There are two novellas in this series and I read the first one and chose not to read the second one. It was about the kiss that Ryan and Leah have thats mentioned in the prologue and what Leah does after with her "friend" in Vegas. The first Novella introduces the friend and I didn't want to revisit her fling so I chose not to read it. This book covers the kiss and I never felt I missed anything by not reading the novella prior to this book.

This final book is about Ryan, the guitarist and married member of the band and Leah, their Manager. For years Ryan has been married and in the last book his unhappy marriage finally fell apart and his wife Julie filed for divorce. The prologue is about Ryan being devestated and Leah trying to comfort him and him kissing her.

This story then picks up as the band is about to go on tour. They have decided to not renew their contracts but they have a final tour to get thru. Scott, works for the tour promoters and they want to add some extra dates but because Blake/Gabi are expecting a baby, everyone does not want the extra dates. Scott and Leah form a compromise where Ryan, who is now the only singleish band member will date the promoters new bands lead singer, Felicity.

To be honest I HATED this plot device. I love Leah and well for years she watched Ryan with his wife while they were only good friends and now she has to watch him romance another rocker. Even though throughout this Ryan is saying I want to be with you, and Leah can't go there, still I hurt for her having to watch and even help this circus.

Thankfully I liked Felicity and she had zero interest in Ryan. But still the big stumbling block for Ryan and Leah to even date is a clause in her contract that says if she dates/romances/sleeps with any member of the band she will be fired. So thats really the issue between the two.

Then Julie, who doesn't want to let Ryan go, gets  involved and becomes an obstacle too and well I did not love seeing her again and what her angle is. (NO SPOILER HERE)

But when the guys decide to save Leah and Ryan, OMG I started to totally love this book and the ending just was so great. It was really a great way for the book to end. So while I did not love some of the crazy rockstar stuff in this book I totally LOVED Ryan, Leah, the guys and how they help make Ryan and Leah's romance a reality. And the ending totally ROCKED!!!

This is #4 in this series but its the first book I have read by the author. It can stand alone and it did for me. A little back history is given on the side characters in th story and I am tempted to read them as all the previous book in this series are Kindle Unlimited books.

This story is about Nash and Tina. They both have known each other quite awhile and have formed a family/friend relationship with their friends. Tina came to town because her friend Sadie moved here. Her and Sadie both come from money but Tina now owns a bakery with Sadie and she lives above the bakery. Her parents never loved her and so she left home for this new country life.

Nash also moved when his father died. He was trying to escape an e who was after his money and his memories and he found a new ranch, brought his men with him and he also formed good relationships with the same men and women that Sadie and Tina are friends with. He also has a HUGE crush on Tina but she won't look at him and she gets so shy and nervous around him.

The story gets started at the hospital where friends are having a baby. Thats where Nash finally asks his friend Prie who is also friends with Tina if he should ask Tina out and if she will go out with him. Tina, when asked pretty much says yes but I have to find time.

Though their takes a very long time to happen as things get wild for Nash, they do spend time together. Not always alone time but time. And thats when Nash and Tina get so cute and sweet together.

This is not a erotic story. There are sex scenes but they are very fast and subtle. It is a pure relationship story and its more of an insta-love situation than a long relationship. But it is sweet and I really enjoyed both Nash and Tina.

They do have several conflicts like exes, time/work, and Tina's lack of confidence in herself. But I really enjoyed it and want to read the other books in the series.

She’s a fireball. Her mouth has no filter, but then she changes quickly and is shy every time I’m near her. I love that I make her feel that way. Love the way a soft blush covers her cheeks any time I smile at her. Love that she finds it hard to form a coherent sentence when she talks to me.

“He’s just a guy, Tina! Just a person – who is hotter than shit, built like a freaking wall, and has killer green eyes that melt my panties every time he looks at me!”

“All I know is – I love you. I know what I feel, darlin’. You’re in my every wakin’ thought. And when I close my eyes, you’re right there. When I hold you while you sleep, my life is complete, my heart is full. And when you’re not, I ‘bout go crazy until you’re in my arms again. We may not know each other completely but how will we learn about each other if we’re not together?” Wetness forms in her eyes. “When you sleep, I know you drool a little, right in the corner of your mouth.” She purses her lips, tryin’ not to laugh. “I know that when you laugh really hard you let out the most fuckin’ adorable snort.” She closes her eyes. A tear slowly rolls down her cheek. I hold her hand tighter. “I know your eyes change from a beautiful shade of green to a gorgeous shade of blue dependin’ on what you’re wearin’ and your face scrunches up when you’re confused. I love everythin’ about you.”
