This is a standalone book within a series, though its the first book I have read by this author. It takes place in Hawaii and Brooklyn and Macon are both anti love and just into one-night stands. That is until they meet at a dance club and its insta lust shall we say.

He is in town working on building a resort for his family. She lives there with her sisters while she goes to college. He is 27 and she is 22. He wants more with her but she hesitates as things are a bit up in the air for herself.

This book is filled with very hot sex scenes and throughout the story. So, if you like tamer stories, I am warning you. If you like HOT stories well, you will LOVE this book and the characters. This story also has angst and drama, lots of drama and jealousy but in a totally hot way. 

Brooklyn is the star in this book. She is a fighter, not with her fists but with her dance moves and her desire to make something of herself and find a job after she graduates. She never gives up and I loved that about her.

Macon is perfect for her because he can't quit her. He believes in her and that she is worth it all and at times he is fighting her for her. He is super-HOT and sexy and totally into her. I loved and adored him so much.

 This is book 2 in a series about baseball players. It can stand alone but reading it I felt I needed to read the previous series where the baseball team is formed and where Payton is introduced. So, I read the Tuesday Club series. I highly recommend you read that series first so you can meet Payton who is Kit's best friend and is introduced in The Secret.

At the start of the book Payton has just turned 30 and Ace is 23. So it's an older woman/younger man trope story. They have a one-night stand but it turns out Ace is very bad at sex so he strikes a bargain with her to get orgasm lessons, is the best way I can describe it.

There are some really funny and cute moments as the players all start reading Cosmo, the magazine to get sex tips and I almost went out to buy a Cosmo issue too. I also loved Ace's yip issue. 

I felt at times that Payton was very immature and Ace actually was the more mature one between them. He is young and dumb, but he owns it and he wants to learn but he also grows up in this story. At times I was frustrated with Payton because she should be mature and not so high school and she wasn't. When she finally faces her life, her issues and grows up a bit and aces life well I was totally cheering her on in my head.

Do you love the story of Cinderella? Well then you are going to love this book. Ella plays the role of Cinderella in this story, and we even have the prince who is Chase, who chases after his Cinderella with the glass slipper. There are also several fairy god mothers too and a matchmaking grandfather. 

This was such a fun story and romance. Its low on drama and even has the two stepsisters and step mommy. No one was over the top or super mean, but they were awesome in this story, maybe a bit stuck up.

This is a fake relationship trope story with a bit of childhood friends thrown in the mix. I loved how that all came about, and I am not spoiling it. 

This was a fun romance with a really awesome cast of characters and so romantic too!!
