This was a second chance at romance with her best friend's older brother and they also end up being roommate's and him being her boss. It also is a second chance romance after one very hot stand but also an enemy to love romance with an age gap as well. 

When Avery and Aiden meet it is lust at first sight. He thinks they will never see each other again so he shares his biggest secret with her. BUT her plans fall through, and she ends up being his sister's best friend and who ends up giving her a place to stay and a job, which brings her around Aiden with a touch of too close for comfort vibes. 

He has this HUGE secret and he fears that Avery will spill it to his sister and that is where the aggression, fear and hate comes from. He showed her who he was in that one night, but his town, family and friends don't know who he really is because he has hidden it so well.

This is a story about two people who fear each other and the secrets they share, allowing themselves to be seen, vulnerableness and all. It was a story I really enjoyed and I loved watching them each let each other in and fall in love.
