This is a second chance, coming of age, sports, college romance between Kelsie and Hayes. They are both newish characters to this series as both have connections to the college and friendships but haven't been around in the previous books.
They met each other in Paris the year before while studying there and fell insta-love/lust. They also had a fling and it was just meant to be a fling because they did not share any info with each other. But you know how it goes and they do fall hard until Hayes ends up standing Kelsie up and he breaks her heart. So the next time she sees him its not love but well lust and anger.
Meanwhile Hayes had a good reason for disapearing and his life is a bit complicated as he has a big tradegy in his past. When he finds Kelsie at college its a huge shock and he totally wants her but she is really angry at him.
I enjoyed getting to know both Hayes and Kelsie and I really enjoyed their connection to each other but there are just so many coincidences in this story that it was hard to believe it could really happen. If you suspend that reality, then it's a very fun book. There is drama, jealousy, love, lust, and romance and hot scenes. There are many bumps along the way for these two, but it was a really enjoyable ride as they find each other and really see who they each are.
