This is my second book by this author and I read the first Cruz brother romance and I really loved the Cruz boys and so I was excited when I read that this book was coming out. This story is about Maverick Cruz and his best friend, family friend and roommate, Rocky.
Rocky is a star soccer player and Mav is a star football player. They grew up together and have been besties for over 10 years and their families are so close that they even vacation together. But Rocky and Mav have never even shared a romantic kiss.
Until.......
But one of the biggest issues is that Rocky and Mav will both go pro and he fears that will break them up and break each others hearts. So he tries to avoid any kind of romance with her and yes that means lots of crushes and hot times with other girls and thats not something I enjoy in romances, seeing the main characters with other women/men.
I will say I loved how strong Rocky is. She makes Mav chase her a bit and she doesn't let the things he says and does break her and she drives him a bit crazy. Can he resist? what does the future hold? Well you have to read this story to find out.
The story ends pretty wonderfully and I loved the ups and downs in the story, it really kept me invested in the romance and left me guessing how it would end. I still adore the Cruz boys and I hope Mitch and Misty's story is next.
