This is book 2 in the series but easily stands alone. It features an age gap romance between two college students, but Mason is 27 and Poppy is 20 and he works with her father who is the head coach of the colleges Football team.

Mason has had a tough life so far. He is an orphan, and he gave everything up several years before when his parents died and he decided to take care of his younger brother and drop out of college. Now the brother is all grown up and Mason gets his chance at his dream job and a college education. But he was not accounting for Poppy and how she would get in his head.

Poppy and Mason have things in common one being that they understand the pain of losing a parent. In addition, they also share some classes and this very hot attraction. For Mason this is his dream, and he is very antsy to lose this chance if the coach is upset about him and Poppy. For him it's a choice between what his head is telling him he needs and what his heart says he feels.

I loved this story so much. It had very hot scenes, two characters I grew to love, and I loved watching Mason find his happily ever after.
