This story was beyond wonderful. I really believe you should read Clam Jam before this book as all the characters and events happen in that book. This book can stand alone but Clam Jam is terrific and this is part two of that book.

This book starts the previous year from when most of this book takes place. It starts at Ry and Maggie's engagement party. Jack/Cupcake is single and he and Maggie's bestie, Sarah/Sunshine are super attracted and decide to have a fling. But as the title of this book is Blue Balls, Jack suffers through that alot. After the fling that never happens they separate for a year when Sarah travels.

The book really starts one year later when she moves back to town. There is a lot of flirting, non dating, getting ready for the WEDDING and even a 10 year reunion and a wedding crashed and LOTS and LOTS of blue balls. LOTS!!!

Through it all commitment phobe Sarah and Jack fall hard for the other while suffering episode after episode of you guessed it....Blue Balls.

This book is very cute. Jack is a wonderful guy and Sarah is afraid of turning into her mother romantically and this book is very flirty and fun. I loved how Jack and Sarah are there for each other through everything and I LOVE their love of 80's movies.

This is not a short book. It has close to 50 chapters, a prologue and 2 epilogues. I LOVED that we get such a romantic story and really get into each others heads. I also loved how involved Maggie and Ry are in this story. This was a wonderful story and I loved every second. While it is not super HOT, it is very light reading with no heavy angyst.

RC Boldt is the wife of Mr. Boldt, a retired Navy Chief, mother of Little Miss Boldt, and former teacher of many students. She currently lives on the southeastern coast of North Carolina, enjoys long walks on the beach, running, reading, people watching, and singing karaoke. If you're in the mood for some killer homemade mojitos, can't recall the lyrics to a particular 80's song, or just need to hang around a nonconformist who will do almost anything for a laugh, she's your girl.
