ABOUT THE BOOK

Each book is EXCLUSIVE to the anthology and NEVER BEFORE PUBLISHED by USA Today, New York Times, and all your favorite bestselling hockey romance authors.

I am really enjoying this series of novellas some by authors I know and others I have not read before. Several are 2nd chance love stories where the men are hockey players and hockey came between them and the women they love.

Others are added scenes or mini stories featuring characters from previous author books. Some I have read and some not, but even with books I hadn't read before I really enjoyed meeting new authors and new characters. A lot of the stories take place during the holidays.
There are also 4 M/M stories in this anthology.

When You're Ready by Toni Aleo
He knew she was the one, she wasn't so sure, which is why Grace and James' love story is one for the ages.

This is the last story in the anthology and wow so not what I expected. Toni is a new author for me and so I have never read the other books in the series. It stars Grace, who is Shea's twin sister (I guess he had a story in a series). He is a hockey player. Grace has a very sad history in that usually she picks guys who cheat or cheat with her, so she doesn't feel worthy. Shea convinces her to move in with him and his current fling hires her, she ends up meeting James at work and they hit it off but she doesn't believe he can love her. This story is a prelude to a new series about James and Grace's daughter. It is sweet, romantic, and I had a tough time liking Grace as she is so down on herself. But James I loved. Get ready for some tears because it is a big tear jerker.

Here is what I thought about other stories in the Anthology:

A Second Shot by Shannon Stacey
She was the one who got away, but when their paths cross once again, all he wants for Christmas is the chance to take another shot at love.

This is a brand new story and I really enjoyed it. Its a 2nd chance at love and it was sweet and hot and features a hot hockey player and a dog who brings them together.

Christmas Crosscheck by Jaymee Jacobs
Bryan's planning to propose to Georgiana on Christmas Eve, but will the chaos of their families’ first holiday together ruin their special moment?

This was a new author for me and I really enjoyed it even though I never met the characters before. Essentially its meet the inlaws, a marriage proposal where everything goes wrong. I really enjoyed it.

Her Best Worst Boyfriend by Melanie Ting
This Christmas, Em Davis is bringing Mr. Wrong home to prove a point to her parents, but Ian Reid might turn out to be Mr. Right.

This was a delightful story. I fell hard for Ian as Em does when she finally gets to know him. I loved how great these two were together.

The Devoted Father and the Introvert by Mary Smith
Elexis Dunaway loves Twitter and work. Dag Limon loves his twin boys and playing professional hockey. Soon their worlds will collide with one simple tweet.

This was really a very strange story. For one, Lex is 19, a mature 19 but still in her teens. Dag is a father of twins and is 30. And most of the stories in this series end with them in love and an ending this one kinda ended when they start dating for real.It was just very strange especially with such a big age gap.

The Playboy by Stephanie Julian
Kyle is back in the minors to rehab his career but that's not all he's hoping to fix. Convincing the girl he left behind to take another chance on this former playboy will be harder than resurrecting his career.

This was another new author for me and I didn't really find Kyle a Playboy but rather a struggling hockey player who didn't know what he had until he lost it. It was a fun story but I thought she forgave him a little too easily.

Her Best Worst Boyfriend by Melanie Ting
This Christmas, Em Davis is bringing Mr. Wrong home to prove a point to her parents, but Ian Reid might turn out to be Mr. Right.

A Wolfe Brothers Christmas by Jami Davenport
Spending their first Christmas together in years, the Wolfe brothers fumbling attempts to create good memories go awry.

I am a fan of this series and so I really enjoyed catching up with my favorite characters during the holiday.

Dmitri's Christmas Angel by Kat Mizera
Two women. Two surprise pregnancies. Dmitri Papadakis is screwed.

This was a new story in her Sidewinders Hockey series, it stars Angela now who is 20 and features Ashleigh and Brock. I loved how Dmitri is so there for her no matter what. It has lots of surprises so I am not spoiling anything but if you are a fan of this series you will love it.

Red-Hot Trouble by Lily Harlem
Sophie Delaney never intended to walk into ‘that’ locker room, at ‘that’ moment, but she did, and now she’ll never be the same again.

This is a new author for me and I enjoyed it. This is a story that was different in that Sophia is a cardiac doctor and she is filling in for her brother who is a medic at a hockey game when she meets "The Flash". He pursues her...will she let him catch her? It was fun and romantic.

Final Slapshot by Jean C. Joachim
Harry "Deke" Edmonds hides his secret, hoping for a Christmas miracle. When confronted with the truth, will his heart-breaking decision cost him everything?

This was very different. It is about a married couple, he is a hockey player and she runs an art gallery. He gets injured badly and has to face the end of his career and maybe his marriage. This was a really great story about two people who love each other but struggle to make it work.

Icing isn't Only for Cookies by Melody Heck Gatto
Avery James wasn’t looking for love when tall, dark, and deliciously handsome hockey player Kyler Wilson walked into her bakery.

I loved this story. It takes place at Christmas/New Years and takes place over two holiday periods. It features a one night stand and then they meet again. When they meet again they work together for the orphanage house and it was a really sweet story with a little romance thrown in.

All I Want by Stephanie Kay
When fate brings first loves Maggie and Alex back to the same city, will Maggie be brave enough to give the relationship she never forgot a second chance?

Maggie and Alex were in love but she broke things off when she went to medical school and him into hockey. Now years later then both live and work in the same city and run into each other thru work. But he has a girl friend or does he.....

Lucky Holiday by Jennifer Lazaris
Tyler Quinn made the biggest mistake of his life when he broke Ella’s heart, and he’ll need more than an ace up his sleeve to win her back in time for Christmas.

This was a sweet and romantic story. Tyler is a hockey player who was in love with Ella but had a drug and alcohol problem so he broke up with her. Now they have met up again and he wants her back but first he has to learn how to share his past with her. Ella was the girl next door and she loved Ty but she has to learn who he really is with all his secrets.

His Christmas Cinderella by Kate Willoughby
When Gideon Aguilar mistakes Bailey Peng for his Uber driver it leads to a night he can’t forget. But after she disappears the next morning will he be able to find his perfect fit?

Of this book this was my least favorite. It was a nice story just not my kind of story.

Holding On Tight by Susan Scott Shelley
For defenseman Vince Forsberg and his boyfriend Joseph Parelli, the pressure to make their first Christmas together perfect leads to a lot of chaos, holiday mishaps, and some unexpected results.

This is a M/M story which I tend to not read. So it was actually one of the two  stories I skipped.

A Star-Crossed Christmas by V.L. Locey
Two years ago, Mitch shared an explosive kiss with his childhood friend Shaun. Will Christmas be the time for the two men to find a future together that works?

This is a M/M story which I tend to not read. So it was actually one of the two  stories I skipped.

Dallas Christmas by RJ Scott

Logan knows lusting after his captain's brother can only lead to trouble. But when fate throws them together, it’s hard not to fall in love.

Another M/M story that I did not read...sorry
