This is book 3 in the series and in this story we get to know Kai and his history, heart and motivations as he forms a relationship with his teammate/roomie/best friends sister, Charlotte.
In this story Kai is the broken one and I really felt his pain. His story and past was extremely hard to read and very painful but I was in awe of how well he handled it and how strong he had to be to learn how to deal with it.
Charlotte is a wonderful character and her life is a mess. Her brother is an issue, her mom is slowly disapearing from her and she has fallen for a guy who keeps running from her. I loved how she never gives up and her heart is so open to Kai and the world.
If you like your guys a little broken but with a wonderful heart than you will adore this romance.
Kai is a hockey player and it was fun seeing Riggs, Nico, Valor and the rest of the gang in this story. They all love Kai and want to be there for him. The next story is about Charlotte's troubled brother Emerson and I cannot wait.
