WORTH THE RISK - Eternity Series #1- by Jennifer J. Williams (Hannah and Luca)

ABOUT THE BOOK

Hannah
The night before starting my new job was not when I wanted to meet my neighbor. Certainly not in the middle of the night, wearing next to nothing, as I bang on his door to tell him to quiet down. And when he answers the door, I almost swallow my tongue. He’s possibly the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. But when he opens his mouth, my Southern upbringing rears its ugly head, and I slam up those carefully constructed walls around my heart.

Luca calls me Pixie, and suggests I need to loosen up. When I finally decide to lower my walls with him however, he walks into my work office. As the social media manager for the Denver Wolves hockey team, I’d been warned about one specific hot player, both on and off the ice. Of course, he’d be that hot player. But I just can’t stay away … until I’m forced to.

Luca
I’m the black sheep of the Wolves. The one who has too much bad publicity. Everyone, including my family, thinks I’m a player. No one believes that I’m tired of the partying. The lifestyle. The games. But I don’t know how to change things, until she moves in next door.

Hannah makes me want to be a better man. But life on the ice has gotten murky, and my coach is clearly looking to get rid of me. I’ve never taken chances on anyone before, but something tells me Hannah is worth the risk.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book in a new series with a relatively new author. It's my first time reading this author and I really loved this story so much. It's an erotic sports romance in the hockey world and it's about neighbors who go from hate to love in a forbidden romance.

We meet southern belle Hannah when she moves to Denver for a new job. She is 28, single and is staying in her aunt's apartment building. She meets her neighbor, NHL player Luca who is single at 30. He has a very bad rep with the ladies and its pretty much hate at first sight. Until one day they get stuck in the elevator together and then their attraction blazes out of control.

This book is very HOT! lots of erotic fun. But it also has intrigue, drama and a bit of insta lust/love and a very forbidden romance.

The forbidden romance is because Hannah came to town for a job working for the same team as the one Luca plays on. She is told numerous times that he is bad news and that dating players is against the teams' unwritten rules. So, to be together they have to hide their relationship from her uncle, the team, its coach's.

The second part of the book is a nail biter. There is drama, people out to hurt Luca and Hannah who do not want them together. That is also when we really get to know the town of Eternity which is what this series is about. We also meet Luca's whole family, and I absolutely loved them.

This is a well written story and I loved getting to know the characters and the residents of Eternity. It is very fast paced and a story I could not put down. It had love, romance, intrigue and characters I fell hard for.
