Disappointed, she unwrapped her arms from her body, and then pivoted on her toe in the direction of the open door. “Then it looks like we have nothing further to discuss, Lucas.”

I reached for her and tugged her to me. “I don’t want to want you,” I breathed, my mouth hovering just centimeters from hers.

Gillian tried to pull away, but not whole-heartedly. If she wanted me to let her go, I would have, but I knew she didn’t. “Then stop,” she sighed.

I took her face in my hands. “I can’t. I don’t know how to.”

“Neither do I,” she whispered.

Unable to stop myself, I crashed my lips to hers and drove my tongue into her mouth to retrace every inch that I had explored days ago.

Hot Stuff by Kim Karr is a standalone sports romance. And its my first time reading this author. The writing is very entrancing and I really enjoyed the story and the characters. BUT I am not a big football fan and while I LOVE sports romances I love them because they are light on sports, heavy on love and this story is HEAVY on football while the couple falls in lust. So if you want a seriously authentic football romance then this book you will love. For me it was WAY too much football, but as I said that defect is on me and not going to be an issue is you want a story heavy on sports.

Lucas Carrington, fresh from college, is about to get drafted into his dream team in the NFL and it is not the Chicago Bears, because he had it rough growing up in Chicago and he wants anywhere BUT Chicago. But all the wishes and he ends up picked up by Chicago.

While the NFL is his dream, he has to change his attitude and well learn to be happy and get along with his team.In the midst of that he has a coach who is the reason he is there, Coach Whitney. The coach sorta identifies with Lucas which is how he ends up there. And wouldn't you guess but the coach also has a hot daughter who is interning at the summer camp and that is Gillian.

Gillian is in LOVE with football. She traveled with her dad and she loves every second of it which is why she is into sports rehab and training and this is her last summer before she graduates and faces the real world. So she is only around a few weeks when she meets Lucas.

Both of them have a lot to lose if they are caught together and they try to resist the other but sometimes well the lust is stronger than the will and well that is what this story is about. I don't want to spoil the fun and twists and turns of this story. But it was an enjoyable read. A little too much football talk for me but for those who love football talk, you will love it.
