Review
The first part of the book as very hard to read. If I had known what it included I would not have read the book BUT that said this was an incredible story and I would have missed out and it is a very important part of this story. So I do want to post this warning, something horrible happens to Reagan of a sexual nature and the author/s do an amazing job with that scene.
It happens on the end of Reagan's college career, and its so bad she misses graduation, runs from her friend and bestie, Aimee and even from a promising new career. Years later the story re-starts where Aimee and Reagan have reconnected, R has gotten help and so she is better able to handle her life and she is about to start a new job.
One issue with the story is that it seemed a little confused whether Reagn as having sex or not. It says she likes sex with non threatening and boring guys she controls but on the other hand it also seems to say she has not had sex since the incident so that part confused me. Not a big deal and maybe thats something not a part of the book, since I read an arc.
Enter Drew, he is a passionate and sexy in charge man. He is also the son of Regan's new boss and he falls hard for her. But she won't give him the time of day. But Drew has a secret weapon, his son who really breaks down Reagans barriers.
These two together are so perfect and sweet and fun and I LOVED them. I actually loved everyone in this story except for the bad guy who hurts Reagan. And I love how in it with Reagan Drew is. Drew's ex as not my favorite person but never causes issues with Reagan so I was okay with it.
I beyond loved Drew and Reagan and I highly recommend this story. The only person beyond the bad guy, and the ex I did not love was Drew's brother/cousin and the storyline with Zoe and Aimee. Their casual sex and how he sleeps with two girls at the same time was very icky to me and is probably why I will not read the next book. I really liked the character until he started treating Aimee like that so that was the only part I did not enjoy in the story.
