I LOVED this story. Zoey, is a freshman in college when she meets senior NFL bound Tyler. She wants him to take her virginity but instead they end up chatting. Then he wants to be friends and she wants to avoid him. But he is also in lust with her.

This is a great story about finding that friend who turns into the love of your life. But also one where timing stinks. Where you are going two opposite ways. That is what the future is for Ty and Zoey. She has broadway dreams and he has NFL dreams. So how do they make it work?

Well that is the greatness about this book. I truly loved it. We meet Ty and Zoey in college but the book carries us forward into the years and we get to see them as they try and be together while still following their dreams. If you love friends to lovers books this is a wonderful story with wonderful characters.

Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast.

I have only read one book in the series but I was totally hooked and that book was Brock. I HIGHLY suggest you read that book 1st before even thinking about reading this story. It can stand alone but it really introduces Vladimir and Rachel in that story.

This story we meet 23 year old Vladimir on the night her meets young actress 25 year old Rachel. They meet and fall head long into love but Vlad is very broken. He really has never had love or family until he meets Rachel. So when they fall very hard for the other and get engaged (happens in Brock so no spoilers here) well you got to take into account he is YOUNG and this is the first time he has love and a family ever.

So on the day of the wedding, he has many doubts, not about Rachel, he loves her, but about himself and that starts his journey on finding out where came from and who is. To say his timing stinks would be a HUGE understatement. And well when he finally figures things out Rachel, has really needed him and I LOVED how her friends are there for her. And I loved that she makes Vlad work hard for her forgiveness. I loved that it was hard and he has a lot to make up for.

This was a wonderful story. I loved the writing and I loved the characters and I loved seeing my favorites from Brock.

Grabbing the pot of freshly brewed coffee from the coffee maker, he stares into the pot then drinks from it. I don’t bother to tell him it’s decaf. Throat working as he swallows, he holds up his index finger. Stella is a very successful woman who hates love and doesn't believe she will ever marry but she has a lot of love to give. She wants a baby and she wants it with her ex Kevin but he says not unless you marry me. So she asks her friend Ethan if he knows anyone she can have a baby with but no who she has to commit to.

Dane is a hottie, former NFL player who also is a player and does not want love. He is also best friends with Ethan and he also wants a child but not a romance. Ethan puts the two together.

But Stella thinks Dane is the biggest jerk on the planet and says a BIG NO. And that is when Dane decides he has to change her mind. What ensues is a super fun, sweet and sexy romance and I loved every second of this story.

I loved that these two share the same views  but Stella makes Dane work for it and I loved how hard he works for it. I also love how they are really there for the other thru thick and thin and the challenges life throws at them..

I LOVED this story. LOVED IT!! If you previously read Shameless, this is book 2 in the series and stars Tori, who is that books heroine, Kat's sister and now is pregnant and so her sister recommends that one of their friends hire her to take care of his two kids while he goes thru a divorce.

Ethan is a very BUSY farmer with an ex from HELL. And I do not say this lightly. Largely she is not a part of this book until the 2nd part but let me tell you she is beyond awful. In fact the final scene with her kinda pissed me off at Ethan.

Ethan for 99% of this book is beyond fantastic. And I love that he and Tori never do anything sexually until he is totally free from his marriage. That really meant a lot to me that they waited. I loved how this story played out and how fun, sweet and romantic it was.

It is a really great nanny and boss, single dad romance. Just keep in mind the ex is beyond nasty and a piece of work. Ethan was very lucky to find Tori and get rid of the ex.

Joey is a badass pilot who attends an event with her sister. There she meets the Pucker Zeus who is BIG everywhere. She disses him and he lusts for her and so the games begin.

Joey lets Zeus chase her and that is mostly what this book is about, the Chase. I LOVED the first book in the series and Zeus is the 1st book heroine's brother. I didn't love this book as much as that book but it was an amusing story about Sia's brother and how he finds love with a badass named Joey.

This was a very HOT story and for the most part I enjoyed it. Chase is the BIG boss and Jade is his assistant and I use that term very loosely. Alana is hired as Jade's assistant.

 

However, Alana has high aspirations and getting coffee is not what she wants. However that is what Jade and Chase have her do. That causes some issues and Alana is a fun character who lets all her feelings OUT all the time.

 

I did not like that Jade and Chase had a sexual relationship. If it had been their love story I would have got that but Chase lets her do that very casually. No feelings, he just uses his employee that way and I did not respect him for that.

 

That said this was a fun story and that is because Alana is a lot of fun and she really lets things hang out and you never have to guess how she is feeling, she definitely tells you. That sometimes means she gets into some strange predicaments, one such night that happens she ends up at Chase's door as she escapes a guy she was with's WIFE.

 

It was an enjoyable story and I really loved Alana.

“Is Jade here?” he asks, directing his question at me, his smooth, deep voice making me shiver.

I shake my head, incapable of speaking. I think it’s worse that he’s ignoring the obvious issue of my outburst. I’d almost prefer for him to say something about it. Anything. Almost... He nods, and then walks over to the door, stopping just as he reaches it. I brace myself as he turns his attention back to me.

“Alana?” he asks.

I force myself to meet his steel blue eyes, wishing he didn’t find this so damn amusing.

“Yes?” I whisper, feeling sick. God, I am so embarrassed.

 “While I appreciate your attentiveness to my health, I can assure you that everything is functioning just as it should. Maybe you should focus more on your job and less on things that don’t concern you?” he asks lightly. “Like who is and isn’t sucking my cock.”

He walks out, briskly closing the door behind him.

I stumble over to my desk and slump down onto my chair, my eyes wide. I breathe out, feeling dazed. My heart’s racing and I’m feeling a mixture of extreme nausea and embarrassment over the whole situation. Every time I think about what I just said, more or less to his face, I

want to throw up.

Peyton rushes over to me, both panicked and trying not to laugh, which under any other circumstance would be a funny combination. I glare at her, which sets her off.

“I’m so sorry,” she giggles, shaking her head. “I swear I’m not laughing at you, but that just made my fucking day.”

“I’m glad I can be a source of amusement for you,” I grumble, my tone sour.

“At least he knows your name now.” she offers, her eyes twinkling.

I scowl at her. I think I preferred it when he didn’t.

Like most of her characters, Tess Thompson hails from a small town and will always feel like a small town girl, despite the fact she’s lived in Seattle for over twenty-five years. She loves music and dancing, books and bubble baths, cooking and wine, movies and snuggling. She cries at sappy commercials and thinks kissing in the rain should be done whenever possible.

Although she tries to act like a lady, there may or may not have been a few times in the last several years when she’s gotten slightly carried away watching the Seattle Seahawks play, but that could also just be a nasty rumor.

She currently lives in a suburb of Seattle, Washington with her brand new husband, the hero of her own love story, and their Brady Bunch clan of two sons, two daughters and five cats, all of whom keep her too busy, often confused, but always amazed. Yes, that’s four kids and five cats. Pray for her.

Addicted 2 Romance Review

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

 

This is my first book by this author and well wow it totally was an amazing story. It stars Brody, the star quarterback and his family in a very private place most people don't even know about. And Kara, who has a very rough life and is now in witness protection.

 

Kara is new in town and is a nurse. But because of witness protection has not passed her boards in her new state. Brody has a mother with a broken leg and a housekeeper with a brain tumor (operateable) and so he needs an in-house nurse.

 

The two meet and then he ends up hiring her and that is how they end up becoming friends and spending time together. But Kara is very afraid of a relationship with Brody because he is in the public eye, and a spotting can mean her death and anyone else she cares about and Brody wants her to tell him her truth.

 

This was an amazing story and I loved every second of it. The writing was fantastic and I loved the town the author created and every single characters. I will definitely be reading more of the books in the series and I highly recommend this story.
