ABOUT THE BOOK
No man has ever been able to rattle Isabel Ward. Until Aiden Hennessy walks in the door of her gym—ownership papers in hand.
The former fighter is a lot of things- a devoted single dad, a widower trying to start over, and a watchful presence that knocks her off her very capable feet.
To make matters worse, Isabel had a crush on him for the entirety of her teenage years. Doodles in her diary, and letters declaring her admiration—while never sent—haunt the absolute crap out of her now that she has to face him every single day.
She’s not the only one affected.
No woman has tempted Aiden to move on from the memory of his wife—until Isabel. But she’s too young, too feisty, too much of everything he should avoid.
Working together makes avoidance impossible, and so is pretending like the blistering chemistry between them doesn’t exist.
Now that the unshakeable woman is shaken and the un-temptable man is tempted, Isabel and Aiden have to decide what they’re willing to risk for a taste of the forbidden.

This is the series finale and well it was beyond wonderful. I LOVE Paige and Logan so very much. Paige made me cry so hard in how much she loves Logan's sister Isabel whose the star in this book as she falls for her new boss and childhood hero, Aiden. I am just heart broken that this is the end but on a positive note we will soon get the second generation and I hope Aidan's brothers and sister's stories.
Aiden is a widower in this book and he moves from California to Washington to move close to family as his daughter is now 7 and his wife died 2 years before. He buys the gym that Isabel grew up in and also where she now manages.
The title of this book is Forbidden and I had a hard time understanding the title. It seems like in the story Isabel is 25, Aiden is 35 and his daughter is 7. So based on all the ages, she is 10 years younger but maturity I felt that Isabel was way older than Aiden. The other maybe forbidden is that he is the boss and she is his employee. But I felt that never was an issue. He pretty much lets her do what she wants and he works mostly overseeing things and working with select sports figures at the gym, so honestly I did not feel the work thing was forbidden. The only thing that was explained maybe was that Isabel had a MAJOR crush on Aiden when she was a teen and then it was forbidden. I loved the letter she wrote him and never mailed. But teens have crushes all the time and maybe in her mind because as a teen she was forbidden as he was married when she was a teenager. Anyways so the title threw me.
The other issue I struggled with in this book that Aiden at times comes off as a coward and that made me have a hard time liking him for Isabel. She is one tough cookie and I adored her. I even loved how nervous Aiden made her. And I did like Aiden alot and I adored his daughter, but at times I started to feel he was a huge coward. The lessons he learned from his wife dying, I felt he did not get it. He should have learned that life is precious. That love is worth absolutely everything and when he finds someone that he could love and could love him and his daughter back, instead he runs away. And I could not fathom that. The only excuse he could have was he was afraid to be hurt and I am sorry thats cowardly and not what his wife wanted for him and his daughter. So I really struggled with this part of the story.
In the end I love this series so much. The Ward sisters are wonderful. I adored Isabel, Molly, the twins and their husbands. I loved Anya and Emmett, and I even loved all the Henessy siblings. But Aiden was a character I struggled to understand. For a majority of the book I was rooting for him, but at certain parts I just could not understand him and his fears.
