This is two books in one. It includes the prequel and then the actual book starts. The prequel is about the Kings last year of high school and its a story that really introduces all the characters in the story but not a whole lot happens there except we get to know the connection and we also get a glimpe into their before high school selfs.

The main story opens up 3 years later and our heroine Makenna/Mak has moved back to town again. She runs into Declan again and he gives her attitude again until they end up partners in a class they are taking. Dec is a King of his high school hockey team and that's where the title comes from. But in college his grades are not great and if he wants to play hockey they have to go up.

Enter Mak who just started at his college and who must get good grades for medical school. So both have things riding on them working together. I am not sure I would call this an enemy to friends storyline. I really thought it was more about them being thrown together and falling into a friendship that ends up being more.

They don't like each other at the start of the book but its more this intense attraction rather than something made them hate each other. However when they are partnered, they are not happy about that. But as they work together they form a friendship and then romance follows.

This was a well written, young adult story and I really loved all the characters involved. I look forward to seeing what character is next from the author

John’s POV  

As soon as I walk into the living room, I see Mila in tight blue jeans and a low cut shirt that shows way too much cleavage. “Nope.” Resting my hands on my hips, I look at her, trying not to stare at her chest. It doesn’t help that her nipples are hard as a damn rock either. Fuck. Eyes up. “Nope, what?” she asks, furrowing her brows in confusion as she grabs Maize out of the swing. “You can’t wear that shirt. Actually, we should probably set some ground rules since you’ll be staying here around the clock.” Mila rolls her eyes and kneels down in front of the carseat. She’s dressed Maize in an outfit that says something about Grandma being her favorite, and I know Mama is going to love it. “Is that what you do ‘round here? Make rules for everyone?” She arches an eyebrow with a cocky smirk on her face. Tilting my head, I narrow my eyes and study her. “What’s that supposed to mean?” “Ask Jackson.” She carefully places Maize in the car seat and straps her in. I suck in a deep breath remembering the nanny rules I’d given Jackson, the ones she wasn’t supposed to hear. “Jackson needs rules. He has zero boundaries. And it’s not like he listens to anyone anyway. Trust me. It’s an open invitation to flirting and ridiculous comments from him. So you can’t be wearing shirts like that around him.” “...or I can’t be wearing shirts like this around you?” she quips, not paying any attention to how frustrated I’m becoming. “I think I can handle Jackson, so stop worrying yourself.” “Whatever, Mila.” She straightens up and looks me dead in the eyes. “You’re my boss and you can make any crazy rules you want when it comes to your baby, but you don’t get to tell me what I can and can’t wear, unless you’re instating a dress code for me and if that’s the case, I want a raise and a clothes allowance then.” I scoff, crossing my arms over my chest that’s rising and falling rapidly. “How much for you to wear baggy overalls and turtlenecks every day?” “You’ve got jokes, do you?” she mutters, not amused. “Why not just put a chastity belt on me too while you’re at it?” I grunt, thinking that’s not a bad idea actually.

This was a really fun and sweet and HOT romance. Though it also is a slow burn and so be sure and like that. This is book 3 in a 4 book series and it easily stands alone. This is John Bishop's story. It starts at the beginning when John has a relationship with his sister in law to be's wedding planners assistant. 11 months later he comes home to find a baby in his barn with a letter telling him he is a dad.

Mila has graduated college and is waiting to here about some jobs. Her crush and best friend has broken her heart for the last time when she decides to leave Georgia for the summer and visit family in Texas. That is how she meets John's mother who asks her to become a nanny and help her family out.

John and Mila become boss and employee and that is what keeps them apart. They fall slowly for the other and it really was wonderful watching them fall for the other. But Mila is only in town for a few months and she has some big dreams while John is stuck in Texas. How they figure out was just perfect and you will love this really romantic story.

This is book 2 in the series and I really loved it. It stars manwhore Brandon and Lexi who are best friends to the first couple in the first book. They fall into a one night stand with complications. And Lexi has some big decisions to make.

Brandon, had a one night stand with Lexi but he cannot get her out of his head and so he comes back to town and well his life is never the same again. This was a really wonderful story about a sexy, hot baseball player falling in love and Lexi learning to let go and fall in love.

I loved this story more than the first one as this story was more concerned with the present and less on their pasts. It was a lot of fun with a few surprises along the way.

This is the story of Chance Palmer who has given up on love. He was in love years before when his fiancée died and since then, he has given up on finding love again. Enter Mike, someone he wants to convince to build a hotel in his little town. The two meet and it does not go well. But Chance does not give up and he really likes Mike.

That is where he finds out she is a single mom and life for Mike is not easy. She has a jailbird ex who is the son of her boss and well Chance offers her a chance to get away from things for a bit. Meanwhile her boss wants to give her job to his son and so things are very tense for Mike.

But Chance and Mike are so cute together and I loved how they both had been devastated by love before but they build this really great romance and Chance really gets her involved in his town.

This easily stands alone but I loved seeing all my favorite characters from the other stories involved in this story as well.

This is a standalone romance between a pro golfer, Lucas and a busy doctor, Ashley.

Ashley is visiting a resort locally for a pre- wedding fun with her brothers fiancée and that's where the two meet for a one night stand. However even though they each gave themselves fake names they cannot stay away from the other and the next day they learn each others secret identity.

This was a really fun and romantic story between two very busy and professional people who fall in love or lust at first sight. They have to learn how to make romance work and I loved how adorable they were together.

This was a well written and fun story with a great set of characters and supporting characters.

This is the first time I have read this author and it definitely won't be the last. This was a fun, heart warming and romantic story about two besties finding love.

Reese and Erin have been best friends for some 20 years and they both are heavily into the other. But Reese is a guy that always is in a relationship and well Erin is very anti romance. Years before her dad fell out of love with her mom and that has really hit her hard and so she has a hard time trusting in love.

Reese has loved her through everything but when he realized what he was up against he moved away and tried to find love with others but through the years he and Erin have been besties. Now he is up for a job and is planning on moving back home again. When he does, he decides to see if her can date Erin because he knows she is it for him.

This story is how he gets Erin to give him a shot at romance and well it is not easy but Reese knows she is worth it. So he works hard to make it happen and it was a really beautiful to read about. I totally loved every second of this fun romance.
