Right Where I Want You by Jessica Hawkins

About the Book

There’s a thin line between love and hate . . . and it cuts right through the middle of their office.

Bad boys? They run right over good girls like Georgina Keller.

But after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around—least of all the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy #1.

Sebastian Quinn's taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career.

Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top—and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

Because if Sebastian gets her right where he wants her, it means she’s going down.

Excerpt

At the stadium’s concession stand, I took a tall stool, putting Georgina and I at eye level since she stood. “So, why didn’t you kiss François?” I asked. “Bad breath?”
She gasped into her hand. “My breath is fine.”
“I meant his. I’m sure yours is pure relish on a hotdog.”
She made a face. “Gross.”
“I happen to love relish,” I said. “But does François?”
Each time I said François with flourish, she flinched. I didn’t care. Something about him bugged me—I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
“We didn’t kiss because you interrupted us,” she pointed out.
“So? If I were in his position, and we both wanted that kiss, I wouldn’t let anyone stop me.”
Frank and I are clicking,” she said, scowling. “There was even mention of spending time at his summerhouse.”
“Hamptons?”
She coughed into her fist. “Boca Raton.”
The idea of Georgina spending a summer with him in Boca Raton was tragic enough that I almost smiled. I got the sense she was playing up the date. If it was so great, why wasn’t she sitting here with him? And why was I more relieved than smug about that? “Meanwhile, Justin and I will be clamming in Montauk.”
“You two should really just make it official and announce your love to the world.”
“But then I wouldn’t get to flirt with pretty girls.”
“For someone who pretends to have as much game as you,” she said, “I still haven’t seen you successfully flirt with any girls since I’ve known you.”
I smirked. “How do you know I’m not flirting with you right now?”

This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed this story. It is a enemies to lovers, work place romance.

Georgina is brought in after there is a scandal with Sebastien. Seb runs a mens magazine but essentially it has become a little too out there in relation to women so George is brought in to try and make it less offensive to women.

Georgina is a very interesting character. On one hand she is very tough and go getter like as George but her other side is Georgina who has less confidence and kinda feels more like she is a BIG wimp.

Seb first meets Georgina in a coffee shop and then meets George later as she is introduced as a consultant at work. That's when the fireworks start.

This is a fun story about two people learning to work together and who slowly falls for the other. It is a stand alone story and I highly enjoyed it.

Just One Kiss, Oh' Tequila #4 by C.A. Harms

What do you get when you mix Tequila with a house full of rowdy Fraternity brothers who have no boundaries? A cucumber, a pink thong, and a bottle of lube. Oh yeah, and super glue. There is always super glue…

Parties, drinking, and plenty of mornings where you can’t remember what you did the night before...that was my life.

Yet, there was one memory that lingered in my mind. Ten minutes in the woods with Palmer that got too intense to ignore.

But ten minutes with her wasn’t enough. It would never be enough.

She’s a force, one that swept in unexpectantly, knocked me on my ass and left me with an intense craving. Palmer tried to fight it with every fiber in her being, but I could see the desire in her eyes. That curiosity that lived inside of her, wondering what it would be like if she just gave in...again.

I had to convince her that our time together wasn’t a mistake. That she wants me as much as I want her. We share a connection, a bond, that has changed me in ways I never expected. She saved me. And to think…

It all started with Just One Kiss.

MEET THE AUTHOR:
C.A. Harms is an avid romance and mystery reader. She's always had a love for books, getting lost in writing and storytelling even as a young girl. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories.

She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She holds an addiction for Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha’s and KitKat when she should really be focusing on water and maybe a fruit or two to make herself feel less guilty, but that feeling quickly passes...thankfully.

She is easy going, fun, and although she may seem like one of the quiet ones at first, you just wait until she gets to know you better...that quietness changes, fast.

This story was beyond wonderful. It stars Corbin who we met in a previous book, he is Colton's twin and Palmer is Colton's fiancée's bestie. So the two spend time together but Palmer thinks he is a player and so she avoids him, even though they had a one night stand.

Corbin, wants Palmer and she always turns him down. He decides he needs a motorcycle and it freaks everyone out, but he still gets one, lets just say that the motorcycle changes his entire life. The aftermath is really what this book is about and how Palmer is there for him and their amazing connection.

The Ex Effect by Karla Sorensen

The headline could write itself:
Matthew Hawkins, star defensive end, comes out of retirement to play for the Washington Wolves.
Which is perfectly fine by Ava Baker—it makes her job as publicist for the team easier.
There’s only two problems. This particular football player was her first crush.
The bigger problem: Matthew Hawkins was once engaged to her older sister.
It’s been ten years since Ava has seen Matthew. He’s bigger, better looking, and best of all—completely single. Despite his history with her sister, the attraction between Ava and Matthew isn’t so one-sided anymore.
It’s hot enough to burn down the entire city of Seattle.
But this headline is far more complicated to write. And not just for the press or what it means for her family— because once her heart is involved, there’s no predicting the ending.

Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.
HOSTED BY:

This story was SO good!! It has a love triangle of sorts so you should like that in a romance. In addition the hero, Matthew was once the heroine, Ava's sisters fiancée until she cheated on him and dumped him. That said our heroine was 14-18 when they dated and it was 10 years before. The sister is kinda a mean girl in the story so its not like they are very close either.

Typically I do not like sibling/exes/romantic partners storylines but the author really made it work and it was so long ago and Ava was so young that it was not really an issue for me here.

The story starts with Matthew being traded to Ava's team. She is PR director for the Wolves Football team and now works with Matthew as he just signed a two year contract. They have not seen each in 10 years when her sister broke his heart.

The two form a new friendship and there is a very real forbidden type of romance her. As the two fall in love, Ava has a hard time facing her family and that is what this story really is about. She needs to face them as an adult and take responsibility for her choices and who owns her heart.

It was a wonderfully written and romantic story told in dual POV and I highly enjoyed it.

Fumbled Love by Lila Rose

About the Book

The one day English teacher Reagan Wild is late for work—and looks like she dressed herself in the dark—she remembers Carter Anthony, a well-known football star, is coming to the school to deliver a talk to her overexcited students.

While Reagan knows Carter from her high school days, since he was her past crush, she wasn’t ready to see him again. At the time, she hated being invisible. But right now, she wished she could simply disappear.

Carter Anthony is keen to give back to his hometown, but what he doesn’t expect is getting something in return. When a chance encounter with Reagan, the shy girl from his past, happens, he knows instinctively this woman is supposed to be in his life.

With an embarrassing ability to blurt out whatever’s on her mind, Reagan doesn’t understand Carter’s attention. She has no doubt, though, he’ll soon realize his mistake when he discovers just how crazy she and her family are. But no matter what he sees, what he hears, or how her looney family behaves, he doesn’t run. In fact, Carter’s family seem just as unique as hers.

Through dog poop, naked yoga, and the paparazzi’s, can Carter and Reagan have any hope in love, even when it’s fumbled?

This book was absolutely wonderful. Probably the best book I have read this year and I read a lot of romance books that I love. It is a new author for me and I she totally has a new fan.

If you are looking for a fun, sweet and romantic story then this is it. It will make you laugh and swoon and I absolutely loved every second of the story.

This story starts in an  school where Reagan Wild is a teacher. Her high school crush who she thinks never even knew she was alive is Carter and he is at the school to be honored as a football player who attended the school. He sees Reagan and falls head over heels for her but he always ignored her in high school and his ex girl friend tortured her and still does as she is a teacher at the school as well.

What she doesn't know is he had a crush on her in high school but he bowed to peer pressure and stayed with his ex. Now he is grown up and he wants Reagan but Reagan doesn't believe it. That is until her parents get involved and she ends up living with Carter.

This is Carter's book and story of how he eventually gets Reagan to believe he loves and wants her warts and all. It was a beautiful story and I loved every single character in the story. This appears to be a start of a series and I cannot wait for her best friends story.
