Addicted 2 Romance Review

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the story about two people who grew up together and who were best friends. Holden was the brothers best friend and 4 years older than Janelle/Jelly. When she turns 18 her brother gets married in Vegas and her and Holden get drunk and she loses her virginity to him and does not remember anything though she knows they had sex. After she hardly sees her family and runs off to college and does not see Holden again.

Now its 5 years later, she sorta dating/engaged to Conner and if they get married within a year a reality tv show will pay them $50,000. However the show has uncovered that Leddy is married, 5 years before and Holden confirmed it. They will give her the money if she gets divorced and marries Conner.

Conner and Jelly are not in love. They have a friendship/partnership for the money. They 100% want to marry for money and this how Jelly ends up asking Holden for a divorce. In the 5 years Holden has not seen Jelly, alot has happened to her family and he wants her to reconnect with them. So he says I will give you a divorced if you move in and reconnect with them for six months.

And that is how they end up living together as roomies. Jelly tries to annoy/irritate Holden and well Holden tries to make her jealous and see what she has lost.It was a little war of the roses and I beyond loved their one upmanship and antics.

I loved that neither were in love with the other when they meet now but 5 years before they were and in this story they slowly fall for the other. This was a very fun story where the two take a long time to have sex and I liked that they really get to know each other before they get together again.

This is a first time read by this author but I really loved her writing style and the characters in this story. Janelle is the baby in her family and there is a big age gap with her siblings and I loved that the author explored how that really impacted her life and relationships, even as an adult. If you want a fun story then you will love this story.

About the Author

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
