Drive by Jacob Chance

About the Book

Kissing a complete stranger shouldn’t be a life altering experience, but with him it was. One look into his mischievous hazel eyes and our lips were colliding without a second thought.

Now, months later, not only do I know his name, we’ve also become friends. Good friends. The kind of friends that kiss and cuddle together, all night long. The kind of friends that fantasize about being horizontal or vertical...and very much naked.

I’d never been attracted to the football playing jocks, but Nick’s different. When he’s not being a professional flirt, he’s undeniably sweet and funny. For every excuse my mind comes up with to keep my distance, my body finds two reasons to give him a chance.

Can he make the final drive into my heart or will I keep him in the friend zone?

Addicted 2 Romance Review

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is my first book by this author and well I fell in LOVE with this book. So much that I went out and read two other interconnected books related to this story. This book easily stands alone. But I really loved the characters and wanted more and so I read the two books connected to this story.

If you want to read them they are:

Penalty starring Harlow and Brady

Punched starring Reagan and Noah

How do they relate to this book? Well Reagan is the sister of this stories heroine, Carter and Nick is the leading man and Noah's best friend. Harlow and Brady are Nick's best friends as well as they attend the same college and Nick and Brady are on the same football team. Both couples are seen a lot in Carter and Nick's romance and I fell hard for all three couples.

In this story Carter has broken up with her college boyfriend who knocked up her former friend and now they are together and she is feeling sad, lonely and betrayed. She goes back home and that is where she meets Nick, at her welcome home party. They share a killer kiss but Carter doesn't tell him who she is. But they have a lot of connections and so they meet up at her 26th birthday party where they do exchange names.

Nick is age 23 in this story, and Carter 26. Despite the age difference, the story really worked. I loved all the characters except for Nick's sister and Sam. The biggest issue in this story is that Carter has a hard time trusting and letting go of what her ex did to her. So her and Nick start out as friends and things then start to heat up.

This is a wonderful story and I loved it. Nick is a player up til meeting Carter and after that, she is all he sees and wants and I loved him so much. Carter has had her heart broken and I loved that she took her time about getting to know Nick.
