This is book 1 in the series and I really enjoyed it. I LOVED the romance between Colby and Briella.
They have been best friends since childhood but a few months before they got drunk and had a one night stand. Colby fears commitment so when he saw Briella's eyes he knew he had to do something to put a wall between them. However he does not like the consequences when she dumps him as a friend as well.
They are also both PI's and Briella has a BIG case and her partner asks Colby to help out. That is how they end up rooming together in a resort in the carribean. I LOVED the romance aspect of this story. But another part of the story is a thriller, there are bad guys and lots of bad things happen in the adventure side of this story.
At times I had issues with how one point got to another point in the thriller part of the story. That really was my only issue with this story. It was a really fun romance story but the connection to Briella and the bad guys I was not a huge fan of. But I did enjoy the ending and how the author tied everything together.
