Katie Ashley is a New York Times, USA Today, and Amazon Best-Selling author of both Indie and Traditionally published books. She lives outside of Atlanta, Georgia with her daughter, Olivia, and her spoiled mutt, Duke. She has a slight obsession with Pinterest, The Golden Girls, Shakespeare, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Scooby-Doo.
With a BA in English, a BS in Secondary English Education, and a Masters in Adolescent English Education, she spent eleven years teaching both middle and high school English, as well as a few adjunct college English classes. This book is the second book in the series but is a new series based on the previous Runaway Train series. In that series the first book is about Abby and her falling in love with a character in Runaway Train, this series is about her siblings falling in love. In the previous book Eli's sibling fell in love and now this is his story.
The story features a brand new character. Emersyn who Eli has known forever and they are besties. Em fell in love with Jack and married him but he has just died and Em is beyond heart broken. To cheer her up and because she is a musician, Eli gives her a job and takes her on the road.
Eli and Em were beyond HOT together and I truly loved them. The author did a great job showing how deeply Em loved her husband but also loved Eli and how conflicted she was in falling in love with Eli. This was an amazing story about heartbreak, and falling in love with your best friend.
