I am HUGE fan of the author Sara Ney. I have read every book she has written and loved them all. Most are novella size but in a series so when I read them all together it worked. I really have loved absolutely every single book. So when I heard she was writing this book "How to Date a Douchebag" I was extremely excited and couldn't wait to read this ARC.
This book was extremely different than what I was expecting and its also a full length novel which I love. Oz is a total Douche and I am being kind. He bets his friends $500 that he can kiss Jamison/James at the school library and she agrees if he splits the money with her. Thats how they meet but by agreeing to the kiss James also intrigues Sebastien/Oz and he truly cannot stay away.
Now before I go on I want to prepare you, Oz is the biggest asshole, jerk, dick I have read in a while. He likes James but he gets a BJ infront of her from some chick, he even and this was a tough one to swallow, dates her roomate and even asks her out infront of Jamison. Then he pumps the roomie for info on her and then ends up on a snowboarding trip with her where he lies and says they are cousins so they room together. Really he is beyond a douche.....BUT
And this is the thing he is a sweetheart. He cannot stay away or leave Jamison alone. Not for a millisecond. She is his magnet. They study together and become friends of a sort. He is always hitting on her and she is always resisting and thats how they really start to let the other one in.
Oz actually deep deep deep down respects women. He has a sister who has a rough deal and its impacted his life alot. So much so he doesnt see all the bimbo girls at school as women like his sister but rather as playthings, awards for being a good wrestler. He really likes James because she has standards, alot like his sister and she has no idea he is this big wrestling superstar and for him he really eats that up.
At times he made me cringe and some of the things he did infront of Jamison I truly HATED. But I did not hate him and in fact I enjoyed watching him grow and change not be able to resist Jamison. And then the dreams/nightmares start and I totally loved every moment of them.
Jamison was a much tougher character to know. She dresses all prissy but inside she is this other woman. She lusts and resists Oz because he is so different from anyone else she knows. She does have sex so she isn't a virgin, so at times I wasn't sure why she fought Oz so hard. They definitely have this big sizzling attraction and she really likes him too. So at times I am not sure why she fought so hard.
The story was really fun loving and very young. The characters in the story are in college and age 21 and they act it. So be prepapared for that. It is extremely well written and I really loved the entire story even the Douchebag.

Jameson’s face is an impassive mask. “Hayley told me you broke up with your last girlfriend over Twitter.”
A grimace twists my mouth into a frown. “Oh, Hayley told you, did she? Didn’t your mother teach you not to listen to rumors?”
“Yes, but is it true?”
“Yes, but in my defense, she wasn’t my girlfriend. She was a pity f**k who turned into a clinger.”
“A Twitter breakup?” This time Jameson winces. “That’s bad.”
“Sorry, but it’s the truth. It was the only way to get rid of her. Trust me, I did her a favor.”
“How is that doing her a favor? She was probably humiliated!” Then, “Can I ask what the tweet said?”
I chuckle. “Why don’t you just go on Twitter and look for yourself.”
Those fascinating eyes, which have been judging me for the past few minutes, narrow into bright blue slits as she drags her phone across the table, flips it over, and unlocks the screen.
Gives it a few taps.
“What name am I looking for?”
“OneTapUofI. All one word.”
Type, type, type.
Narrowed eyes widen, dark eyebrows shoot up. Her pert mouth falls open a fraction in horror when she finds it. “This is terrible! You are so crude.”
I chuckle again. “Read it out loud so I can get a good laugh.”
“No!”
“Oh come on, Jim! She had it coming.”
“No! You called her a troll—that is so uncalled for.” She glances down at the screen of her phone. “This whole tweet is terrible.”
“Careful, you’re repeating yourself.”
“Oh shut up, you—”
“Asshole?”
“Yes.”
“Dickhead?”
“Yes.”
“Douchebag?”
She titters. “You said it, not me.
