Game Changer by Jami Davenport

Game Changer by Jami Davenport is LIVE!

"The story line pulled me in from the get-go and was unlike anything else that I have read in the past, which was a really refreshing discovery. Highly recommend this one, it is sure to tug on your heartstrings and leave you with a smile!"

 - Reds Romance Reviews

When horse racing and football collide, Hunter McCoy, star tight end of the Seattle Steelheads and neophyte horse owner, finds himself in a battle of wills with a sexy horsewoman and a stubborn, champion Thoroughbred.

In order to save the farm and fulfill her dying mother's wish, Kate Vanderhof-Carrigan’s Thoroughbred has to beat Hunter's horse in the Derby, an easy enough feat until her heart entered the race.

Lilli McCoy, Hunter's sister, has been burned by men before, but she'd believed her last boyfriend was The One. He wasn't. He couldn't deal with Lilli's disability and used her blindness as tool to cheat on her.

Reeling from the betrayal, Lilli returns home to lick her wounds. She hadn't factored in the instant attraction she’d feel for her brother's playboy teammate, Cameron Swift. One playboy in her life should've been enough.

Addicted 2 Romance Review:

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.*

I am a new fan of Jami Davenports. This was a really well written story with some very deep characters and the story had many layers. I really absolutely LOVED this story. I have enjoyed some of the other books written by the author but this one I beyond loved. The only thing I hated was I wanted to know what happened...Does Kate's mom get better and who wins the Derby??

This book was super great. It was engrossing and I could not stop reading. So beware, read it when you have time to really enjoy it. It has three couples in this story, two couples (4 characters) who we get to hear their thoughts. Surprisingly the romance I was morre invested in was Cam (the best friend) and Lilli (the sister). Once that romance is mooth sailing then I got more invested in the main couples romance (Kate and Hunter).

Here are the 3 couples:
Kate - the rich girl who needs a horse to win the derby so she can save her horse farm for her mother

Hunter- the football player who is an american-indian and who owns the horse, Sid. He owns the horse with his family/tribe and his football team.

Lilli- Hunter's sister who is also blind and a mystery author

Cam- the african-american football player who is a bit of a playboy and who has the hots for Lilli. He is also Hunter's best friend.

Sid- Hunter's horse. A very fast horse but big on personality

Jet - Kate's horse. Very predictable horse but not one with a lot of passion.

This is a story mostly about Kate and Hunter's love/lust/hate relationship. They have a lot of sex often but they don't always like each other. Hunter is very big on committed relationships and Kate has always felt left out things and that guys get bored with her. So a purely sexual relationship she is totally good with it.

The first part of the book takes place in Seattle where Kate and Hunter start to get to know each other. It then moves to Los Angeles which is where the book really  shines. That is when Cam and Lilli really get involved and I LOVED them together. At times I liked them so much more than Hunter and Kate. Once their relationship is smooth well thats when Hunter and Kate's issues and romance really picks up and thats when I really started to become invested in them as a couple.

Throughout the story Jet and Sid are very involved as everyone follows them around from race track to race track and they are really major characters in this story. This is really much more of a story about horse racing than of football.

It also is very heavy on Hunter being Indian and how involved with issues he is in relation to his tribe. He really believes in THE ONE and he does not think that is Kate and so this is a big factor in how he sees Kate in a lot of the story. For alot of the story Kate does not realise its a big factorand so when she realises it - well that was a wonderful aspect and how she chose to deal with it.

I really absolutely LOVED this story. It was really so much more than what I have read by this author before and so much more than I expected when I started reading this story.

Mr. Popular by Nicole London

Rule #1: Do not vote for Mr. Popular.

Rule #2: Do not talk to Mr. Popular.

Rule #3: (Most importantly, and above all) Do not fall for Mr. Popular...

Liam 'Mr. Popular' Carter will always be the closest thing to the "walking plague" in my eyes. His cockiness seeps through his every move, and no matter how many state championships he wins with the basketball team, he will forever be a "loss" to me.

Because he's my older brother's best friend, I'm forced to tolerate him, and he's forced to tolerate me. In fact, unless my brother is around, we happily ignore each other every chance we get.

It wasn't always this way, though...

Several summers ago, we both attended the same summer camp. A place we returned to year after year. We became friends--close friends, but right when I thought he could possibly turn into my everything, he made it clear that what we had was nothing.

Now that's he's a senior, and I only have to deal with him for one more year, I've vowed to keep repeating the same set of rules to myself. Especially since he seems so hell-bent on wanting to talk to me for some reason, and especially since he seems to be staring at me every time we're in the same room together...

Rule #4: Always follow rules #1-3...

Rule #5: (OMG what the hell are you doing?) Do not KISS Mr. Popular...

Addicted 2 Romance Review:

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.*

This is my 2nd book by this author and this is only her second book. It was an enjoyable Young Adult story. It is mostly centered on those high school years. While sex is mentioned it is not very graphic. It really has 3 main characters.

Liam- Mr Popular who really isn't that popular. It is called that because it is a tilte sorta like homecoming king where the student body votes on Mr Popular or Miss Popular. At the start of the book he is dating Ashley who talks all about being Mr and Ms Popular. Liam is best friends with Zach who is also his neighbor and a teammate.

Mariah - is the litte sister. She is 2 years younger than Liam. They are neighbors and casual friends because her brother is best friends with Liam. She has one best friend and is really Ms. Unpopular. She is smart, becomes Liam's partner in an AP class and they had a sweet romance at camp over the years until Liam screwed up. She is very young in this story. Liam is a Senior and she is Sophmore, so around 16.

Zach - is the brother and best friend. He is worse than a manwhore. He sleeps with 3 girls a night. But he is sweet to his sister and a good friend to Liam. He is the reason Mariah and Liam hide their relationship.

As I said this is a high school book. It includes scenes from camp where Liam and Mariah fall for each other until the final betrayal camp scene. Most of the store takes place in High School with Mariah a Sophmore and Liam a Senior.

It was sweet, romantic and took you back to the days. I am in my 40's and I enjoyed it but I think I might have liked it much more if I was younger. Mariah, distrusts, doesn't listen and kinda gets mad at Liam alot and runs from him at times. Liam is very sturdy in his desire and love for her. He really truly loves her and he will really do anything to be with her. Mariah is immature, and she is 16, she is allowed. I felt that at times she didn't know what she was feeling and she jumped to conclusions very easily.

The author did a great job with the writing and the story. It just was very high school and I felt I was too old to be reading this story. I would recommend it to 16-20 year olds. But it really is a very high school story. I really liked the style and how the author wrote this story and things moved really well in the story.

Addicted 2 Romance Review:

**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

This is my first time reading and reviewing this author and I totally loved this book. Tyler is a very hot and sexy guy but also a little bit CRAZY about his ex girlfriend who he loved but dumped in college. He sees her one morning in a Manhatten Park running with her friends while he is with his cousins daughter and he wants her back no matter what.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the Excerpt of them meeting:

She turns her head.
And waves.
And smiles.
That smile makes me feel like I can do this. Like I can win her heart again. Mine pounds faster as I near her, and it’s not just because I happen to think she’s the most stunning woman I’ve ever seen, but because of who she is.
I arrive at her side, and she straightens. “Hey.”
“Hey.”
There’s that awkwardness again, and I want no part of it today. Like the bungee jumper I am, I lean in and dust a quick kiss on her lips. At first, she freezes. That won’t fucking do at all. My tongue darts out, flicking her top lip. A soft breath escapes her, and she gives in. Her sweet lips linger on mine, sending a charge down my spine. My brain leapfrogs ahead, and I picture scooping her up in my arms, carrying her to a quiet little patch of trees, and kissing her till she begs me to take her home.
I want that badly—I want her to beg for it because she’s at her happiest when she’s overcome—but I suspect it’s too soon for her.
Not to mention, screwing in Central Park usually results in a public citation. Public fornicators are never as clandestine as they think they are.
I nibble lightly on her bottom lip for a few seconds, drawing out a throaty murmur from her. Then I somehow find the will to separate.
She blinks. Several times. She sways the slightest bit, like her feet barely touch the ground. Good. I want her to be affected.
She furrows her brow. “I’m sorry, but do we kiss now when we see each other in the park?”
“Evidently we do.”
“Weird. Because I didn’t get that memo.”
I rock on my heels. “Want me to take it back?”
“The kiss or the memo?”
“The memo,” I say matter-of-factly, like this is all so obvious. “You can’t take a kiss back.”
“You sure on that, Nichols?”
“I can try to take back the kiss. Want me to, sweet girl?” I use the term of endearment I once called her. She doesn’t blanch, and that’s a damn good sign.
She smirks. “Be my guest.”
I kiss her once more, like I’m reversing the lip lock, doing it all in rewind, pulling away ever so slowly, ever so softly, leaving her dazed once more.
Perfect.
If she can drive me this crazy, make me this hard, send the temperature in my blood to beyond incendiary, the least I can do is return the favor.
Judging from her reaction, I’m doing it right.
I gesture from her to me. “Like that. I think that’s how you take back a kiss.”
Chuckling, she nods to the running path. “Ready for me to kick your ass?”
Every competitive bone in my body snaps to attention. “We’ll see about that,” I say, then I smack her pink nylon covered behind.
Her eyes widen, saying oh-no-you-didn’t.
But there’s a twinkle in those baby browns that says the lady might like spanking.
That’s new, and it’s most interesting.
I pencil in a new item on my mental to-do list. Find out how much she likes spanking. I never spanked her in college—just wasn’t part of the repertoire. But judging from her response now, I’m more determined than ever to find out everything she likes in and out of bed.
____________________________________________________________________

Delaney, is wonderful. She knows Tyler is a bit crazy but she eats it up. She is very apprehenisve because he worked very hard to date her in college, made her love him and then dumped her by giving her an excuse of its not you - its my law school.

Years later he is a hot shot lawyer and she owns a spa and well he cannot stop wanting her back. He really takes off absolutely everything to win a date with her and well who can resist a guy that will do anything to win your heart.

This was a hot and sexy book. Tyler is definitely without a doubt a HOT one but is also a sweet one, a determined one and well I could not have resisted him either. I LOVED that Delaney really made him work for it. Even while lusting after him, she makes him pay up for dumping her and breaking her heart.

If you are looking for a fun, hot read well then this is the perfect book. The characters, and writing were very light hearted and I totally enjoyed every minute of this book.

Crave Me - O'Brien Family #3 - By: Cecy Robson

RT Book Reviews proclaims that the O’Brien Family series from award-winning author Cecy Robson “has the hottest brothers ever!” And in Crave Me, it’s time for the sole sister in the family to discover love.

Wren O’Brien isn’t your typical female. As the only girl from a loud Irish family with seven siblings, she prefers fast cars to lip gloss and bad boys to good men. It’s the reason she’s nursing a wounded soul and keeping her distance from a dangerous ex.

Evan Jonah is running an empire and just moved from the lavish thoroughfares of London to the gritty streets of Philadelphia. When he walks into the nearest dealership, he’s expecting to find a reliable vehicle to handle the brutal winters, not a sexy female car rep with killer legs.

Wren doesn’t know why “Hotness in a Suit” asked her out. She doesn’t expect a great time or a night of passion that knocks her on her ass. But that’s exactly what Evan shows her.

She also never counted on how hard and fast she’d fall. But men like Evan—good men with even better hearts—don’t desire tough-talking Philly girls for long.

Evan has never met a woman like Wren. But he’s up for the challenge and ready to prove her wrong.

Addicted 2 Romance Review:

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.*

I have a confession I have never read this author ever before. She tends to write suspens
eful romances with some very dark elements and I am more of a fun romance reader and I tend to stay away from suspense. But this book sounded so good that I could not resist and let me tell you this book was a total HIT!!

Yes there is a lot of suspense, related to Bryant, the heroine, Wren's ex boyfriend and let me tell you it gets absolutely CRAZY. And that part of the story kept me on the edge of my seat. But for most of the story it is pure fun.

I LOVED Wren. She is beautiful and peppy and smart and pretty much can do anything she puts her mind to. She meets the hero of this story, Evan when he comes to buy a car. She is this car salesperson and she is amazing at her job. She sells Evan on more than a car, he falls pretty hard for her.

And well based on her first date, Wren falls hard for him too. Then things happen and Wren ends up jobless just as Evan fires is assitant and so Wren ends up working for Evan. And OMG I loved their boss/employee relationship. Yes you read it right, this is a boss/PA romance book too.

Once Wren gets employed by Evan, I freaking loved this story so much. I loved her great ideas and how she treats Evan and how romantic they are with each other. This really was an absolutely wonderful story and mixed into all this story is Wren's brothers and their girl friends who are a total hoot as well.

I beyond loved this story and I plan to read the other books about the brothers.

I open the door to the dark blue Explorer for Wren. She pauses before slipping inside. “Look at this,” she says. “Chivalry isn’t dead after all.”
I chuckle because I have nothing better to say. Even if witty comebacks were my forte, this woman would still have me at a loss for words. It didn’t take her long take to check my credentials or for her to acquire an impressive vehicle for me to test drive, her command and efficiency, making the process smooth.
I slide inside, taking a quick look at the interior before adjusting the seat to accommodate my long legs.
“Why an Explorer?” I ask, concentrating on the features so I don’t openly gape at Wren.
She tilts her head. “You’re a suit, a businessman, right?”
“That’s right,” I agree.
“So you don’t need a truck to haul wood or tools or any equipment.” She laughs a little. “You also need something you’re actually going to be comfortable in, big guy. And seeing how you’re taking the Blue Route to work, you also want to stay safe. The maniacs on the highway will bowl over a smaller ride. But in this, even the crazies will think twice before messing with you.”

I really enjoyed this very sweet and romantic story by Carly Phillips. The star of this book is the last billionaire, Derek. Once upon a time his parents were the housekeeper and the gardener at Cassie's parents estate. At age 18 him and Cassie flirted but being the rich girl with snooty friends she said some mean things that he has never forgiven her for.

Now both Cassie and Derek are all grown up and she works for her dad at the family company as a journalist for the techie magazine and she wants to interview Derek, which is how they meet again.

Primarily this story is about Derek and Cassie learning to forgive and let the past go. To understand that love is what is important. Along the way Cassie has to deal with her brother who is not a good guy. But she also gets to know the adult Derek as he gets to know the adult Cassie.

I really enjoyed this sweet romance and it had some really HOT scenes in the story. It easily stands alone, though we do get to see previous books couples in this book as well which I totally loved.

Whisper of Love - The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor, MD #5 - By: Melissa Foster

GIVEAWAY: ENTER HERE

Two Winners will receive a digital copy of HEALED BY LOVE (Bradens at Peaceful Harbor #1)

Tempest Braden adores her family and her small hometown, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be confining. At almost thirty, having watched most of her siblings find true love, she’s anxious to experience her own happily ever after, and the move to Pleasant Hill, Maryland, is just the change she needs. When she rents a room from ruggedly handsome, and closed-off, artist Nash Morgan and his adorable son, Phillip, she thinks she’s found a little slice of heaven on the outskirts of town, where she can concentrate on building her business. That is, if she can ignore the undeniable heat between her and the sinfully hot single father.

When Nash bought his farmette, he had one goal in mind—to provide a loving, stable home for his son. He never imagined he’d be raising Phillip alone, or renting out a room to keep their heads above water. Then again, he never imagined losing his brother, or spending two years sailing around the world with parents who seemed to forget one son was still alive.

Sparks fly from the moment Tempest moves in, and her positive energy and inquisitive nature brings new life into Nash and Phillip’s quiet, confined world. For the first time in years, Nash wants to let a woman into his world, but while his loss made him stronger, that strength came at a price, leaving him walled off and wary of opening his heart again.

Addicted 2 Romance Review

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is actually my 2nd book in the series, I previously read the story about Steve and Shannon but that book did not have many Braden's and this book did, so I really felt like I got to know this side of the family much better than in Shannon's book. It also seemed to stand alone as well, seeing as I was not lost at all.

This book stars Tempest or Tempe who is new in town. She has left Peaceful Harbor because she wanted to start over again. She wants to meet a new man, make new friends and restart her music business where she helps children with her music therapy business.

At the start of the book Tempe has been staying with her cousin Jillian but Jillian is a night owl and Tempe needs her sleep so she is looking to rent a room and she goes to a coffee house to look at their bulletin board to see if anyone has one available. There she sees a posting by Nash, a single father and furniture builder.

This story is told in dual POV and I loved that. We see how both are affected by the other from the minute they meet. Phillip is Nash's 3 year old son and Tempe starts living with them and really changing both their lives.

In this story Tempe is the sunny, warm and sweet character. Nash's life has been filled with tradegy and loss. Considering how life has knocked him around I was really happy that he was so open and sweet and welcoming to a romance and  relationship with Tempe.

I totally loved the ending. It was the best ending I think Melissa Foster has ever written. It was sweet, cute and just total adorable. If you looking for a sweet, family romance then this was really wonderful. There are no exes or jealousy.just a story of two good people falling in love.

The sound of tires on gravel drew his attention. He scooped Phillip into his arms, locked the goat pen, and grabbed the buckets.
“Visitor,” he said, carrying Phillip toward the house and eyeing the Prius parking behind his old Ford pickup truck. His truck was a gas guzzler, but as much as he hated that, he needed the bed of the truck to haul the furniture he made into town. He hoped Tempest Braden, the woman coming to see the room he was renting out, wasn’t a preachy tree hugger. Hell, he hoped she would turn out to be the silent type so he could pretend she didn’t live in their house.
Phillip’s brows knitted, his hands firmly planted around Nash’s neck. He wasn’t used to visitors. The last several people who had come to see the room they had for rent hadn’t been the kind of people Nash wanted around his son. They’d rubbed him the wrong way—too aggressive, too loud, too shady, too flighty. He just needed a stable, responsible person to rent the room so he could afford to upgrade a few of his tools and start saving for Phillip’s future. He tightened his grip on his son and headed up to meet the tall blonde stepping from the car.
Her wispy skirt fluttered around her knees. Large pink roses with muted green leaves looked as if they’d been thrown onto the flimsy white material haphazardly. A fringe of lace lined the edges. On anyone else the flouncy, floral skirt might look immature. But her legs went on forever, and coupled with her tight, curve-hugging tank top, she looked like Sweet and Sexy collided at the corner of Sinful Temptation.
She turned as he approached, and Nash stopped in his tracks, standing still as a stone. The setting sun caught her hair, highlighting several different shades of blond in long, cascading layers that hung to the middle of her back. Her nose was slightly upturned, and she had a cute, rounded chin. He’d never seen such natural beauty.
She smiled and tilted her head. “Nash?”
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he forced his legs to carry him forward. “Yes. Tempest?”
She met him halfway up the hill. “Thanks for seeing me so quickly.” She peered into the buckets. “I hope I’m not interrupting.”
“Evening routine. Did you have any trouble finding us?” She was even more beautiful up close. Her hair was tousled, as if she hadn’t brushed it all day, and her eyes were so light blue, they had starbursts of white around the pupils, sparkling like diamonds. It had been a long time since any woman had caught Nash’s interest, and he reminded himself to rein in that attraction. The last thing he needed were complications in Phillip’s life. Even for a girl with the most spectacular blue eyes he’d ever seen.
“No. Your directions were perfect.” She smiled at Phillip, and when she spoke again her voice was soft as a summer’s breeze. “What’s your name, cutie pie?”
Phillip’s fingers dug into his neck. Nash nodded his approval.
“Flip,” Phillip said.
Tempest’s eyes widened with amusement. “Flip? That’s a unique name.” That beautiful smile lit up her face again. “I’m Tempest, but everyone calls me Tempe. It’s nice to meet you both.”
When she turned that smile on Nash, his entire body heated up. As a sea lover, he knew the word tempest meant a violent storm. It was obvious what type of unexpected storm this sweet-natured, soft-spoken beauty could cause, and he couldn’t afford to be caught in a squall.
“My son’s name is Phillip.” He said it faster than he’d meant to, and realized his son’s name came out sounding like Flip. He’d also said it harsher than he’d intended. Reeling in his attraction was going to make him look like an asshole.
“Then Flip it is.”
The way she said it sounded so damn cute, he wasn’t about to correct her.
“Flip,” Phillip repeated.
“Come on, I’ll show you the room.” He caught a whiff of her floral perfume on the way inside. It had been a long time since he’d smelled anything so feminine. Maybe this housemate thing wasn’t such a good idea after all.

Addicted2 Romance Review:

**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

This is my first time reading this author. I also mostly review contemporary books but I also enjoy the occassional well written historical. This was a new author but had an intriguing plot and I love forced marriage stories so I was excited to check this story out.

I tend to like Sabrina Jeffries and Julia Quinn. More authors with stronge female leads but who also write fun and funny historicals. While this was an enjoyable read, and I expected it to be fun from the summary, it really was much more serious than fun. It was well written, just not what I was expecting, though I totally enjoyed the story.

The lead character in this story is Max. His sister has died and left her young son. BUt Max' mother is taking care of her grandson and won't let Max raise him unless he marries. Max on the other hand, is terrifed to marry and procreate because his father went mad and even comitted suicide and he sees this as his future.

Enter, Phoebe, the heroine who is Max's friends new sister in law and someone Max has known for awhile. He proposes to her and threatens her with a secret he knows about her sister (not the one married to Max's friend". She agrees to an engagement and not a marriage and then falls hard for Max. She does not know the reasons for  his refusal to marry, so she threatens to expose that he just wanted an engagement and no marriage and thats when he agrees to wed her to get custody of his nephew.

This story had a lot of holes. For instance his sister married and had a son and she never feared she would go crazy and should not procreate. He also has avery wild reputation supposedly but as you read you see it was very false. (I am trying not to spoil some of the big surprises in this story).

However I did enjoy the story. There are really no bad guys in this story. Its about two good people and they fall for each other. The biggest obstacle is for Max to grow up a little and realise you have to live your life and not worry about what 'could" happen in the future.

As I said it is not light and fun. There are some very serious things that happen in this story and they actually are very deep for the characters to deal with. I did enjoy it and would recommend it, but it is not light reading or even a very HOT story. There are not many sex scenes in this story.

She rocked against him—just once. Almost experimentally. Except with a certain awareness of exactly what it was her bottom was up against. “I stretched, and how wonderful it felt.”
“You’re teasing me, wench.”
“I’m not a wench, I’m your wife. Do you want me to go on, or not?”
His lips in a grim line, he gave a single nod.
“Very well.” She cleared her throat. “I wanted to explore myself, and I wanted to explore you. But you weren’t there.”
“So you had only one option.”
She pulled back and gave him a look that could have put the strictest governess to shame. Oh, what it did to him. “I’m telling this story, husband.”
“Then tell it. Please, tell it.”

Q&A with Ingrid Hahn

Q: Name one thing you won’t leave home without.

Definitely my head. Thankfully, I’m not a screw top, so I can always remember it. Everything else is fair game.

Q: If you could trade places with anyone for just one day, who would you be?

I can’t decide between two choices. Either Cleopatra right after she met Mark Antony, but I won’t tell you why. Or some chick inside a perfume commercial. You get to be gorgeous, perfectly made up, and there is usually a not-too-hard-on-the-eyes guy around. (That goes for perfume lady—Cleopatra wasn’t the gorgeous siren she’s depicted as being in popular myth.) The perfume lady has the bonus of either getting to wear a big fancy dress or lazing around a private beach.

Q: What types of scenes are your most favorite to write?

The naughty ones.

Q: Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?

I put a tiny, tiny bit of myself into each heroine in a superfluous way. My first heroine, Grace, loved chocolate and has less-than-perfect hair (far less, I’m afraid). My second, Phoebe, is a big reader and loves tea. My third, Eliza—her book is coming in June—hates cherries. However, unlike Eliza, I came by my dislike honestly. I just plain don’t like them. I won’t spoil it for you, but Eliza came by her dislike by way of an abhorrent association.

Q: Do you have any advice to give to aspiring writers?

Let go of your ego, never stop learning, work hard to nail good conflict, learn to encapsulate your entire story in one pithy statement that makes strangers’ eyes bulge and beg you to write the book immediately (I’m still working on this one!). Don’t self-publish too early. Give yourself permission to turn into a seething green jealousy monster even for writer friends you love dearly when they achieve something you covet, but cap your time in The Great and Terrible Land of Envy to about ten or twenty minutes, then go back to being happy for them and focusing your energy on your own work.

Out of Love by RC Boldt

Foster Kavanaugh, former Navy SEAL, knows what it’s like to be the top dog, the man in charge, the one calling the shots. Now that he’s running his own security consulting firm, not much has changed.

Except the curvy blonde he hired as his office manager.

Noelle Davis has been through the damn ringer. Swearing off men after escaping a toxic relationship, she’s grateful for a fresh start—new job included. Except her job isn’t tranquil and calm. In fact, it’s quite the opposite because her boss is the most infuriating man on the planet.

And, not to mention, sexy as hell.

Foster has limits. Rules. No attachments allowed because he doesn’t do love—and Noelle Davis foiled that plan and took a red pen to his list of rules. With her smart mouth and quick witted banter, he found the woman beginning to creep past his defenses.

When circumstances put Noelle in a perilous position, the first person to come to her rescue is none other than Foster Kavanaugh. She gets to see the man in action—not as her aggravating boss, but the man who will stop at nothing to keep her safe.

The same man who makes her want to reconsider her self-imposed embargo of men.
The man she wants to get to know now that she’s seen another side of him.
The man who makes her want…more.

But is more possible when you're OUT OF LOVE?

This is my 2nd book by this author and I really LOVED it!!! It looks to be a book in the series. Not sure what number but being as its my first read in the series I was not lost at all, so I think it can stand alone very nicely. The other books in the series seem to be about other couples and friends.

This is a very hot story about a boss/office relatonship. It also contains two serious issues, domestic abuse and PTSD. Both issues affect both characters and while one issue draws them closer another pushes them away from one another.

Foster Cavanaugh is the hero and he is described as a manwhore with a dry spell. He has been lusting for his office manager, Noelle. Noelle has lusted for him but she is on a man vacation and running from an ex who scares her. She has worked for Foster for 2 years and this story just starts heating up as her ex stalks stalking her and Foster starts to protect her.

I lovedall the friends included in this story and Mama is a great part of this story. Its more than just a boss type of romance. Noelle is actually really entrenched in Foster's life and is good friends with his mother, sister, employees and friends.

I really loved the two together and I loved watching Foster decide he wants something more with Noelle and how he went about making this happen. This is a really fun story and I really loved it.

Switch - Landry Family #3 - by Adriana Locke

Mallory Sims is late for her first day of work.

After spilling her tea, she discovers she has no gas in her car. Add that her arm keeps sticking to her dress from syrup left on the console of her car, flustered feels like an understatement.

Then she sees her new boss.

Graham Landry is the epitome of NSFW in his custom-fit suit, black-rimmed glasses, and a look so stern her libido doesn’t stand a chance. Being flustered is just the start of her problems.

Her punctuality is only the start of his. With a pink slip in hand, he’s been waiting on his new secretary to show up only to let her go. Then she rushes in with her doe eyes and rambling excuses, smelling like bacon and lavender. The termination paper falls to the side as she falls in his arms.

This is a disaster in the making. Not because of his pinpoint exactness or her free spirit, but because when they’re together, the sparks that fly threaten to burn the whole place down.

Addicted 2 Romance Review:

**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

I am a newer fan of this author but I totally LOVE this series. The Landry brothers and sisters I am a BIG fan of them. They are fun and sweet and all of them are quirky but they love each other while giving each other hell. Each book stands alone but its a super great series and so I highly recommend you read each one.

Book 1 is about the single mother and the politician, Barrett and Alison and I think this is still my favorite of all three.

Book 2: is about the baby brother and baseball player, Lincoln and the do gooder  he falls for, Dani

Book 3: is about Graham, the CEO and former nerd and the family friend, Mallory, his new assistant.

I really loved  this story alot. Well as mentioned I love them all, but I thought this books sex scenes were beyond HOT!!! I enjoyed the sex scenes in the other books but the ones in this book were beyond hot and I think its because its the story where the the Landry tries to fight his desire and well LOSES so there is a lot of hot sex and lots of alphaness.

Beyond this being a great office romance this is also a story about two very opposite characters attracting. Graham is this HUGE control freak. At times he seemed to be very OCD about how he wanted things done and how messes drove him crazy. Even romantically he likes everything just in its place. He works hard and plays seldom and is a huge success professionally but not socially.

Well things go wrong for him when his assistant Linda leaves and he goes thru 14 temps until Mallery is hired on a recommendation from his sister. (YES she is friends with his two sisters). Mallery is his total opposite. She likes to have fun, she teaches Yoga and knows how to relax, she is social, she lives in a mess and even her car is a disaster. Mallery doesn't even have a life plan, she is a college drop out and just broke up with a long term boyfriend. If anyone is Grahams opposite it is her.

Yet she organizes his life perfectly and she drives him insane with lust. So he struggles to resist her. He knows if he gets involved with her, it will be very messy. I totally loved Graham and Mallery together. Beyond LOVED. She really was this sexy , cuddly bear and I loved that about her. She really softened Graham and he totally needed that. He also changes her too and I loved that about how the author wrote them.

While Graham was not my favorite Landry, he is definitely a contender and I loved how HOT he was for Mallery.

Excerpt:

Graham’s tongue darts out, skimming his bottom lip. He’s pinning me against the loveseat with a hand on either side of my face.
“You drive me crazy,” he says, narrowing his eyes. “I try so hard to be on my best behavior around you and you just whittle me down. Every fucking time.”
“Well,” I tease, wrapping my legs around his waist. “I think your ‘best behavior’ is subjective.”
“You know what I mean.”
“And you know what I mean.”
My heels locked at his back, I squeeze my thighs around his waist and pull him closer to me. His lips hover over mine but they don’t touch.
“What exactly do you mean, Mallory?”
I wind my fingers in his hair and tug gently. “I mean this is the Graham I like best. I like seeing you like this.”

“Struggling to keep myself together?”
“Exactly.” Lifting my head, I flick my tongue against his lips. I can feel the heat of his mouth, the taste of his desire. “Don’t try so hard,” I whisper.
“It’s futile anyway,” he says. I barely hear the words as he pulls back. “Stand up.” He climbs off the loveseat, stripping off his shirt. “Now.”
My stomach clenching at the intensity in his eyes, I’m on my feet before I realize I’ve moved.
“Take your dress off. Everything. I want you completely naked.”
The air brushes against my skin as the linen covering my body pools at my feet. As I step out, I watch Graham and almost gasp.
He’s standing in front of me, his cock in his hand, watching my every move. “Bra. Off.”
With a shaky hand, I unclasp the back and throw it at him. He catches it and presses it to his face.
“Now what?” I stand before him, not a thing on my skin. My hair drapes around my shoulders, and despite the fact I’m standing completely naked outside under the watchful eye of this sexy CEO, I don’t feel a bit nervous. Just … admired. That feels better than any orgasm, any accomplishment, any nice words ever spoken to me.
Graham sits again, his legs spread. He’s in complete control, managing the situation not with words or power, but with his eyes. That’s all it takes.
