About the Book

He’s a self proclaimed bastard with a double helping of lying asshole.

Mia Matthews never thought much of big shot matchmaker Tenor Butler, but when she finds out he loaned her late business partner a quarter of a million dollars and no one told her, there aren’t enough four letter words to describe him.

She’d like nothing more than to pretend Tenor doesn’t exist, but she owes him all that money, not to mention he’s hot as hell. Tenor doesn’t see why it’s his fault Mia didn’t know about the loan. In fact, he thinks he’s being very magnanimous when he offers to forgive the loan if Mia closes her own matchmaking business and works for him for five years.

But as he gets closer to Mia, he realizes two things:
1) he doesn’t want her as an employee and
2) she hates his guts.

When an old flame threatens them both, Mia and Tenor find themselves working together and are unable to ignore their mutual attraction. But it might be too late for these two romance experts to create their own love story.

This is a standalone romance. No cliffhanger.

EXCERPT

She laughed and I held out my hand to her. “Shall we?” I asked.
With a nod, she took my arm and I led her to the front of the restaurant. As we followed the hostess to our table, I couldn’t stop myself from watching the woman at my side.
When she arrived a few minutes earlier, I’d been so worried something was wrong, I’d only focused on the fact that she wasn’t bleeding and nothing appeared broken. Now, however, I was able to take in all the details that made her, her.
She wore a smart-looking suit in a pale pink that fit and enhanced her figure instead of covering it up completely the way a lot suits did. Her hair was neatly styled and her makeup applied with a light touch. She was beautiful, even though every inch of her screamed that this was one hundred percent a business dinner and not a date, thank you very much, so don’t even bother to think otherwise.
Once we were seated, instead of reading the menu, she looked at me. “How were your meetings?”
“My what?” I asked while reading over the specials of the day.
“Your meetings,” she said. “The ones that lasted all day and were the reason why we had to meet tonight for dinner and not lunch.”
Oh, damn. Those meetings. The completely made up ones I’d obviously forgotten about. “Cancelled,” I said, with a smile. “Thank goodness. I hate day-long meetings.”
“Cancelled?” The corner of her mouth curled up, just a tad. Almost as if she didn’t know if she should believe me or not. Smart woman. “In that case, it must have been a very good day for you.”
“Regardless of the meetings,” I said. “The day is much better now.”
I’d love to say dinner was nice, but dinner was a fucking nightmare. Every damn thing Mia did was a turn on. Not that she did it on purpose. Seriously, people eat with a napkin because sometimes they needed to wipe their mouths. I knew that. More to the fact, I knew Mia was not wiping her mouth in an attempt to turn me on.
That didn’t mean my dick understood.
By the time our desserts came, I was in serious trouble. All these years, I’d only given thought to having Mia work for my company and now that it appeared it would finally happen, I had it all wrong. I didn’t want her for the company, I wanted her for me. Not as an employee, but as a girlfriend.
Looking as though she was completely content, which I couldn’t believe to be the case, she glanced up from the employment contract and gave me a smile before she continued to read. Moments later, she signed it and I should have been happy. Instead, I faked a smile and signed my name under hers.
And with that stroke of the pen, I ensured that the one woman I wanted, I would never have.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tara Sue Me wrote her first novel at the age of twelve. It would be twenty years before she picked up her pen to write the second. After completing several clean romances, she decided to try her hand at something spicier and started The Submissive. What began as a writing exercise quickly took on a life of its own. An avid reader of all types of fiction, she soon discovered she enjoyed writing a variety as well. Tara lives in the Southeastern United States with her family, two dogs, and a cat.

This is my first book by this author and I truly LOVED every second of it. It is a sweet and romantic romance between a boss and his employee. Tenor is the boss and he owns a HUGE dating agency and he lends Mia's mom 250K but then she does. She has her own small matchmaking company but she cannot find the money so she agrees to give up the business and go work for Tenor.

Tenor and Mia fall for the other very fast and then they cross signals and end up broken hearted and apart. I loved that the author gives them a lot of trust and honesty in their relationship. This was a fun and romantic story and I truly loved every minute of it.

Bachelor International is the name of Tenor's company.

This is the first time I have read this author buy WOW this is a wonderful 2nd chance of romance story with older characters, late 30's.

The story starts with Wyatt where he is an nfl star and he is excited to get home to his wife and child when he gets the worst news. Then the story comes back to where he is in present day. He now is a football coach at a high school and he meets Hannah when she tries to get her 17 year old son in his summer football clinic. Let's say it does not go well.

Hannah has suffered a HUGE loss as well, her husband and son also died but she has one son that survived and so her life is pretty dedicated to him. Wyatt as the school year approaches is her sons coach and teacher and so they both feel a romance between them is forbidden.

But these two also have suffered big losses and so the heart wants what the heart wants and they fall into a friendship and eventually a romance which they hide at first. But in a small town nothing is hidden for long.

This was a wonderful story about finding love for the 2nd time with older characters who have had unimagined loss in their life. I enjoyed every moment of it and I fell in love with every single characters.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Former TV News Producer turned Romance author, Caterina Passarelli has always had a love for words. From real-life Detroit crime to fictional love stories around the globe, she hopes to take her readers on a fast-paced adventure. Caterina is the author of five titles in multiple genres: Romantic Comedy, Contemporary Romance and Romantic Suspense. W

hen she’s not writing about alpha males and strong, sarcastic women, she is the CEO of an online fitness coaching company. Caterina is the fur mom to her three-year-old rescue dog, Piper, who she spoils uncontrollably. She loves hearing from her readers on her Facebook page!

This a new author for me and it a little different than I expected.

This book stars Clark, and Juliet. Juliet wants to find love very badly and she goes on ALOT of bad dates. At one date she mistakes Clark for her blind date and that begins their sorta friendship. They have a loose family connection so when they run into each other again, the lust takes over and wants a friends with benefits relationship.

But Juliet wants love and so she ducks Clark and goes on more dates which were totally a crack up. But she needs to make a stand and tell Clark what she really wants. There are lots of HOT scenes in this book. But her and Clark only really get together at 90% and once they do we don't see much of their relationship and falling in love which to me is the best park, so that was disappointing for me.

The epilogue I loved because it shows you how their future looks. But I really love seeing relationships grow and I missed not seeing that. This book is part of the bunnies series and for Juliet that was a sign she gave herself that she should take the risk with Clark even thought he was anti relationships.

Confessions of a Klutz by Abigail Davies

ABOUT THE BOOK

Confession One: I was a klutz. I thought I’d grow out of it, but evidently I didn’t. It’s not fun to look like a fumbling toddler when you’re twenty-six.

Confession Two: I had a standing appointment at the local ER. It wasn’t by choice that I knew all the doctors names—it was necessity. But that was about to change. Confession Three: I hated the sun yet I lived in LA where it always shone. I supposed that was one plus to being sent to New York for the next eight weeks.

That was until I got there. Arm veins, dimples and, THE sexiest voice known to man were my weakness, and he had every single one of them. Confession Four: He was my new boss. I could control myself though, right?

The city of dreams… a klutz’s worst nightmare. Eight weeks. A klutz. And a drool worthy boss. What did you get when you crossed a klutz with a GQ model lookalike? I was about to find out.

About the Author

Abigail Davies grew up with a passion for words, storytelling, maths, and anything pink. Dreaming up characters--quite literally--and talking to them out loud is a daily occurrence for her. She finds it fascinating how a whole world can be built with words alone, and how everyone reads and interprets a story differently.

Now following her dreams of writing, Abigail has found the passion that she always knew was there. When she's not writing: she's a mother to two daughters who she encourages to use their imagination as she believes that it's a magical thing, or getting lost in a good book. If she's doing neither of those things, you can be sure she's surfing the web buying new makeup, clothes, or binge watching another show as she becomes one with her sofa.

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. But it is 100% one sided, we never hear from Axel in the story and I really wanted to. So for me that was a disapointing part of the story. That said this is a hysterically funny story.

Violet is in New York for 6 weeks to be an assistant to the BIG boss of her company and she is the biggest klutz and not just butter fingers, think broken bones and tripping everywhere. If something can fall or slip it will in her life.

Axel and Vi form a very unique boss/employee relationship. Vi honestly is a lot of fun and she absolutely made this book. Axel was a great guy and boss and he was pretty great to Vi for most of the book. He screws up at a point in the story and I LOVED how Vi made him pay for it. But we never get a look in his mind and heart at all and that is why I never fell hard for him and wasn't sure why Vi did.

The book ends pretty fast. I wanted an epilogue or something but I guess its part of a series so more will be coming in the next book about Vi's cousin Ella. This was a well written and enjoyable work/boss romance.

IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER TRIP TO CLIFFSIDE BAY. Marred: Kyle & Violet by Tess Thompson is NOW LIVE!

AND YOU CAN GET IT EVERYWHERE:

Except maybe another of his many no-strings-attached trysts with whatever sexy lady catches his eye. Violet Ellis is struggling. She's a single mother, the proprietor of a near-failing shop, and a champion for the historical integrity of her dear Cliffside Bay.

She has enough to deal with between her three-year-old son and her languishing business, but she's still prepared to take on real estate mogul Kyle Hicks to save the charm of the place she calls home. When a twist of fate forces these two to put aside their differences and rely on one another, they just might find that sometimes the strongest love grows out of the hurts and the scars that we carry with us always.

The fourth installment of The Cliffside Bay Series by bestselling author Tess Thompson follows the interwoven stories of five best friends, the beach community they love, and the women who captivate them. Prepare to get lost in a wave of small town charm, men you want to take home to your mother, and smart, resilient heroines you wished lived next door.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Like most of her characters, Tess Thompson hails from a small town and will always feel like a small town girl, despite the fact she’s lived in Seattle for over twenty-five years. She loves music and dancing, books and bubble baths, cooking and wine, movies and snuggling. She cries at sappy commercials and thinks kissing in the rain should be done whenever possible. Although she tries to act like a lady, there may or may not have been a few times in the last several years when she’s gotten slightly carried away watching the Seattle Seahawks play, but that could also just be a nasty rumor.

She currently lives in a suburb of Seattle, Washington with her brand new husband, the hero of her own love story, and their Brady Bunch clan of two sons, two daughters and five cats, all of whom keep her too busy, often confused, but always amazed. Yes, that’s four kids and five cats. Pray for her.

This is book 4 in a series and I LOVED it. I loved that we saw a lot more of Brody and Kara in this book and you really need to read the first book to understand some things that happens in this story. This series can stand alone but you might feel a little lost at times if you do not read the whole thing.

This is the story of Kyle, a rich playboy and Violet, a single mom and it is kinda an enemies to lover storyline. Violet is for the environment and Kyle is a builder and she thinks his hotel is ruining the environment and so they fight a lot.

One day a baby shows up and Kyle is told it is his. The mother has died and so he has a newborn baby. He has no clue what to do and so he calls on his friends who call on Violet. Violet is a down on her luck single mom and so when Kyle calls, he saves her and her son Dakota in a way.

I loved watching these two fall and how they become this couple and family. It was really sweet and beautiful. I also loved learning more about Kyle and his family and we get to meet them in this book. This story was probably my 2nd favorite next to the first book in the series and I highly recommend it.

This is book 4 in the series and completes the series. It is about brother, Jackson Bishop and his childhood bestie Kiera who has had a crush on him since they were 15. Now Keira is getting marries and Jackson has to suffer thru that.

The story starts at the present with the wedding and then moves us into the past to age 15 and then to when Keira ends up engaged thru the past up until the wedding date so we get to really get to know her and her fiancée.

Now this is a spoiler free review and there are lots of answers answered in this story. Largely its a Jackson story where we watch Jackson grow up and figure out what he really wants. I felt it was very well written and made me fall hard for Jackson and understand some of why he has resisted Keira for years.

This book is part of the series and it can stand alone, I have read all the books in the series. But because it goes back into the past so well, it can also easily stand alone.

Country Gold - A Wilder Sisters Novel - by Heatherly Bell

About the Book

A second chance...

A scandal ended the careers of the Wilder Sisters, the chart topping country rock band. But Lexi Wilder is okay with that, thanks for asking. She's been on the road since roughly forever, and even if the scandal has followed her home to Whistle Cove, California, Lexi is going to enjoy the break. After all, there's quite nothing like the beautiful sandy beaches of Monterey Bay to calm a woman's soul.

Luke Wyatt never asked to trade fame and fortune for the only woman he's ever loved.

Now that he's finished a punishing year-long national tour, all bets are off. He's coming back to his hometown of Whistle Cove for the quiet, the beaches, the inspiration, and the girl. Not necessarily in that order. There's pressure from Nashville to deliver more country gold like the #1 song he co-wrote with Lexi Wilder.

But Lexi can’t forgive Luke for choosing fame over her…

Excerpt

“Lexi Wilder.”
She recognized the deep voice, the smooth sound of whiskey if it could speak. Lexi whipped around to face Luke Wyatt. Her heart hiccupped at the sight of his long and lean body braced against the side of her cottage. One corner of his mouth tipped up in a half smile and he studied her with those deep and fathomless dark eyes.
Her mouth was dry. Knees? Liquid. “W-what are you doing here?”
“Wasn’t going to give you the chance to say you don’t want to see me.” He moved away from the side of the house and took a step toward her. “Tour’s over. I’m home.”
Despite her churning gut, she found her voice. “We have no vacancy. You’ll have to stay somewhere else.”
He went brows up. “Just checked in.”
When she didn’t speak, but simply swallowed and blinked, trying like hell to regain her balance, he filled in the silence.
“Still mad at me. Still won’t talk to me.”
She was so not prepared to deal with this today. With him. “Why would I be mad? You mean because you wrote an entire album all about our private life? Every single private and personal thing about us. After everything I’ve been through with Sabrina. No, why would I be mad about that?”
“Baby,” he said, squaring his shoulders. “It’s what songwriters do. We write about our life, the pain and the joy.”
I’d rather keep my private life private.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “I was hurting. You wouldn’t take any of my calls. You wouldn’t come see me.”
“You didn’t seem to be hurting. You were all over my TV set, cozying up to gorgeous models and reality TV stars.”
She’d seen the woman practically on Luke’s lap at a televised awards show. And he was mad she hadn’t called him back? If he’d been hurt when she stopped taking his calls, he sure in the hell got over it quickly enough.
He took a step toward her making her take one back. No, no, no. Already she felt her body buzzing from being this close to him for the first time in a year.
“Give me a break, Lex. You know what this life is like. I didn’t even know that woman.”
Lexi did an internal face palm. No, no. It would not go this way. Check her out letting loose with all her pent up hurt and anger the minute he showed up, giving Luke every indication of how much she still cared about him. If she didn’t care at all, maybe the rumors of these women wouldn’t bother her so much. So she’d already blown her cover in the first twenty seconds of seeing him. Get a grip.
She’d expected to do much better than this if she ever ran into him again, say in Nashville while visiting Miranda Lambert to collaborate on some songs. Lexi would have another hit song by then. Maybe she’d be dating another handsome country singer not named Luke Wilder. She’d be over him by then.
Chalk it up to running into him so unexpectedly but this wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He shouldn’t still look so good to her, his beard making him look like a strong mountain man. Like a man who would take care of his woman.
For Luke, it turned out his career came first. Not her.
But the thing to do here was pretend it didn’t make a difference whether he stayed or left. Pretend he had that little effect on her. Maybe it wasn’t too late to salvage what little was left of her pride.
“I’m sorry.” She shook her head. “I’m being rude.”
He quirked a single brow. “Yeah?”
Score one for Lexi. She’d shocked him. Good.
“Of course. You’re a paying guest and I’m usually not so…so…”
“Pissy?” He gave her another smile, this one lifting both corners of his mouth and demonstrating he still had the power to render her speechless when he laid on the charm.
“Yeah. Pissy.” She let out a half-hearted fake laugh and waved hand in the air. “Rough day. You know how it is. Sisters.”
His brow furrowed. “And how’s Sabrina doing?”
Luke had a front row seat to the implosion of the Wilder Sisters. He’d been performing alongside them at the stadium in Oklahoma when Sabrina had her public mini-meltdown. Even though their demise as a band had meant his opportunity for stardom, Lexi didn’t doubt he’d been sorry about the way it had all happened.
When she’d been worried about Sabrina, whose entire life from the time she’d been ten had been the stage, Luke had held Lexi every night until she fell asleep, assuring her that Sabrina would survive this. They all would. And she’d fallen even deeper for the man. Luke reminded her there would be life after all the speculation and rumors. Because Luke Wyatt knew a lot about scandal. He understood what it was like to feel like you had to apologize just for being allowed to breathe the same air as everyone else.
“She’s okay. Still walks around with ear buds in all the time, singing and dancing. It’s in her blood. But I don’t think she wants to get back up on a stage anytime soon. None of us do.”
He nodded, as if he understood all too well. “And you. Are you still writing?”
Not with you.
Never again with you.
The wall was still up and there it would stay. If anything, she’d wallpaper it. But she was a Wilder first and foremost, and yes, they could put on a show.
She shrugged and got ready to lie. “Here and there.”
“I’m supposed to write a few more hit songs.” He held up finger quotes. “They want me back in the studio next week. So I thought I’d come here and relax. See if I can find some inspiration.”
His gaze took a slow slide down the length of her body and she almost felt…naked. She was so not going to be his inspiration. Not this time. He’d taken enough material from her already.
She took a breath and went for deep sincerity. “I hope you find what you’re looking for, Luke.”
And with that she opened the door to her cottage and closed it in his face.

I am a big fan of this author from her other stories so I was pretty excited to hear about this new series and it was a wonderful rock star/romance with some good small time and friends vibe. It is #1 of the Wilder Sisters series.

This first book is about Lexi and Luke. Lexi is the oldest sister and she has always helped take care of her sisters. They are all girl band that look was a roadie with. But then a scandal rocks them and they retire back home. Only Luke has gotten noticed and so as their careers in music are ending his is beginning and he picks the music of Lexi.

One year later, the story starts with Luke finally on a break and coming home and making things right with Lexi. I LOVED Luke. He was in a tough place and he made a very tough choice. But he is all in with Lexi and he has to show her that she owns his heart. This was a great 2nd chance romance and I cannot wait for more.
