BLURB:

After my life goes sideways in the middle of sophomore year, I'm forced to move in with my older brother and two of his hockey teammates. I'm less than thrilled at the idea of living with three athletes and their stinky gear, their rotating door of hookups, and their tendency to inhale every snack in the house.

But when I walk in the front door with an armload of boxes, I'm faced with another problem entirely.

Hades.

One of my new roommates is the tall, tattooed stranger from my one-night stand on Halloween.

*This is a continuation of the Offside universe, but can be read as a complete standalone.

 ABOUT AVERY KEELAN

Avery Keelan is a Watty award-winning author of hockey romance & adult contemporary romance.

Avery's stories contain swoon-worthy happily ever afters with lovable characters, snarky banter, and enough steam to fog up a mirror. Plus, of course, a hefty dose of drama and angst along the way.

In addition to loving all things bookish, Avery is a gym addict and a diehard coffee lover. When not writing, she's spending time with her husband and two children, reading, watching hockey (obviously), or enjoying the great Canadian outdoors."

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story stars Seraphina who ends up living with her brother and his two teammates and friends. She enjoys being around, but she has issues with Tyler. The first one being that they hooked up the previous Halloween when she visited, and they had no idea that they were connected by her brother,  Chase, until she moves in.

On the whole I liked Sera a lot. I did not like her friend Abby and personally I thought she was a horrible friend from the second she was introduced. She comes with a much older brother, though the age gap was not huge just 5 years. It felt icky when its mentioned he took her virginity when she was 18 to his 23. All this wouldn't be a big deal but years later he is still hanging around with college kids and hitting on her while being close to age 30.

Sera is a college student who has ADHD and is a bit lost. Her mother has cancer and she is back to spend time with her. She has no idea what to major in. And she spends every night partying with Abby. And she also is trying to deny that she is lusting over Tyler. I found her a but sad as a character because she seemed a bit immature and someone who was very lost and denying a lot of her feelings. To some degree maybe even a little depressed.

Meanwhile Tyler is pretty together. He lives with his friends, is a broody, moody guy who enjoys his own company. And he spends most of his time working on his dream of a hockey career. And he is also majorly lusting after Sera.

This was an interesting story and I liked getting into the characters heads and seeing how they dealt with the issues that they struggled with. If you like college and sports romances, then you will enjoy this story.
