ABOUT THE BOOK
The deal was simple… Pretend to be in a relationship without falling for each other.
Only I’m not sure I can hold my end of the bargain.
I’m the sensible one out of my brothers. The reliable one. The one who doesn’t make hasty decisions. Or at least that was me until Ruby Murray turned up in my small town with her long legs and red lips, and a secret she needed me to help keep.
It should be straightforward – I pretend to be her boyfriend, and she shows my ex-girlfriend I’ve moved on.
But this fake relationship feels too real for both of us.
She’s sure we’re just friends – but the benefits suggest it’s a whole lot more.
I’m sure that when she leaves town, she’ll be taking part of me with her.
Ruby thinks we can carry on pretending. She says that this is just a favour to help us both out.
I say a secret wedding proves otherwise. I just need to show her that she can trust me with more than a secret – that I can keep her heart safe as well.
Then hopefully, she’ll stay.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is Finn and Ruby's story. Finn has two very annoying and immature brothers, Gully and Roe and he is the gin maker at the Refinery. When we meet him, he is trying to escape a very irritating ex by the name of Rosalie.
Ruby has just moved to the area to teach at the college and to monitor the area related to its rock's environment etc. She is also Thane's half-sister.
Lovers Heights which is the title of this book is a beach away from Puffin Bay. It's where Finn and Ruby enter into a fake romance when she tells him what she is running from on the mainland. It is also a place the story revisits both in happiness and in tragedy and it becomes a part of them.
This is a fake romance between Finn, who is trying to discourage a former fling who also works at his company and Ruby who is trying to get away some bad rumors about her and her behavior with a student and a former colleague who has it out for her. But when they start spending time together, they fall for each other and secretly start to want to make it REAL.
In this book we also meet a new character, Ivy, who is an author and best friend of Gully's. If you read previous books in this series, she has been sending him the weird deliveries. She comes to town to finish her manuscript and stays with Finn and the twins. I really loved meeting her and she really has a major impact on every single character in this book.
This book was such an amazing read. I would not call it a light read. It has fun moments but there are some serious things that happen to the characters in this book that have major impacts on the characters, this series and the future books.
