I really loved this book a whole lot. It was my first time reading it and was filled with angst and true love and a little bit of forbidden too. It is a fast read and about novella size.
My version of the arc of this story features Lance and Knightly who is also called Lee. The blurb for the description of this book calls the main lead Landon. I was thinking that Lance was a nickname for Landon. So this was a tiny bit confusing. I have also read the second book in this series which will be out in a few months and Lance is only called Landon there. So...
This is a best friends, single dad, best friends brothers younger sister romance. There is a lot of angst in this story because Lee has loved the MMC since her teens. Eight years before th book began, he ended up being a single dad and in the years between now and then he has kept her at a distance while also letting his daughter spend time with her.
Lee wants a family and is ready to throw in the towel on wishing that Landon returns her romantic love. Her brothers have told her to move on and have convinced her to leave town and the MMC behind.
But when he faces losing her forever, what will he do? You will have to read this book to find out.
This was a fun novella and I loved it. It was fast paced and so romantic. Both L and L are totally made for each other but have to let their walls down and be willing to be vulnerable to each other. This is a story of love, soul mates, forgiveness, moving on and growing up.
