This is a stand-alone book, but I do suggest you read the previous books in the series as Jude and Neva's story begins in the earlier books. It is a second chance, reverse age gap, sports romance. 

I am usually not a fan of reverse age gap stories. I kind of think of them as cougar type of stories but I loved Jude so much that it was not stopping me from reading his story. 

Jude and Neva were a thing some three years before this book begins. They lasted 11 months before Neva ended things. Now two years later they seem to be thrown together a lot. They both are still attracted to the other but there is a ten-year age gap between them, and it was an issue for Neva before and why she broke things off. 

This is Jude and Neva's second chance. She wants a family, and a child and Jude just wants her. Can he make her see that in the years between their breakup that he is more mature and wants her no matter what?  Can Neva let her walls down and let Jude into her heart? 

This was a really wonderful book. I loved how we get to see what is in each other's heart as we get to know the characters. I also loved that the author told us when things happened from the past, and the present. I loved getting a view of what previously happened, rather than just told what happened.

I loved Jude and Neva's story, and they were just awesome together. I also loved getting a glimpse into their future.
