This book was freaking AMAZING. Capital leatters because seriously it was crazy good. Think Beauty and the Beast but if beauty had 2 kids and well one cannot talk and the only one that understands the child's pain is the beast. Sounds good?right? well it is!!

This is the story of a widow, Gwen, who married her first love but he died in an awful way. In a way that traumatized her oldest daughter Kelsey. Kelsey has withdrawn from the world and won't even talk to her brother or mother. Every night she prays to g-d in a whisper that her daddy comes back and that she is sorry. That is the only thing she says for years. And if you are thinking break open the tissue box then YES, totally do.This is a beauttiful story with some deep feels.

One day the family is trapped in a terrible snow storm and they are saved by Alexander. Ale owns a horse ranch where he trains them and he sees their car and saves them. But the storm is bad and so they are forced to stay in his cabin for days while they wait out the storm.

Alexander, is a main in terrible pain. He lost his wife and daughter in an accident that also caused him scarring. When he meets Gwen and her family, and he meets Kelsey well he sees his pain in her eyes.

This is a story of healing from losing the ones you love. The terrible pain of losing a life partner and your child and healing. It was a breathtaking and a wonderful story that I loved every moment of. It is not a short book and I really wanted the book to be longer so I could see more of the future. It definitely is one of my top ten books I have read this year.
