In this story we meet Josh and Noah who own an advertiser agency in Chicago. Layla is Noah's baby sister and is very talented in graphics and she is a consultant for their company for occassional clients. One is one of their new clients, Trey Radnor, who is opening a new hotel in New Orleans and requests her especially and so thats how Josh and Layla who have a hate filled/attraction type of relationship end up on a trip in New Orleans.
What happens in NOLA stays there? well not always sometimes true love, attraction and life gets in the way and what a way to go. I really enjoyed this story. Josh and Layla have a very complicated story and I really enjoyed that about the story. The feelings they have for each other is complicated and the same goes with their after NOLA relationship.
The author did a wonderful job with Layla and Josh and I absolutely adored this love story even if its a bit of a forbidden story. I also loved the title of the book as the Unexpected Card had a very deep meaning in this story and I loved how the characters revisited that and made it a part of their story.
This story is lightly connected to the authors Matchbox series, as Josh is Harper's brother. Harper is in the second book, Crazy For You.
THE BIG CHARMER

I probably shouldn’t have eyed the nanny like she was my next meal. But what guy living a bachelor’s life wouldn’t when your nanny looks like Sadie? This is a nanny and sexy boss romance. This is about Logan and Sadie. Sadie is a babysitter for the summer and watching Logan's nephew while his mother is on bed rest and having her twins. She hires Sadie to take care of Mason during the summer while Mason lives at his uncle Logans apartment during the day.
This story was a bit of a slow burn romance. Mason is not into anything long term and he doesn't want things to blow up with the nanny while Mason needs her there. On the other hand Logan lusts for Sadie and her him as well.
Then when Logan asks her to be his pretend fiancee for a business deal and thats when this book gets really fun.
This story is connected to the first as Josh and Noah are friends with Logan and they also handle his PR.
THE PERFECT DISTRACTION

This book features Wes, who is Sadie's brother. We met him in The Big Charmer as he was not a fan of Logans in that book. This book has him partnered up with Emily who is his sister, Sadie's best friend, and also someone he ends up hiring to help him with his new restaurant.
This is not a second chance romance but rather a third chance for both of them. I am not saying anything else because I don't want to ruin the fun.
The story does give us glances of the past so we can see all their chances and I love that Wes is such an honest guy with Emily and he confronts her about their past pretty early in the story.
I loved both Wes and Emily. These two are just so sweet, hot and adorable together. I also loved how much Wes wants Emily and works to get her to give him his chance with her.
THE REAL DEAL

It was never on my radar to have a woman living in my house, especially not one that shares my last name. This is Cole's story. Cole is partners and very good friends with Logan from the second book in this series. He is partnered up with Ruby who is also a friend of Sadie's and also Emily's who we met in the second and third book as well. This is also the final book in the series.
This story starts at Logan's wedding and we get to really know Ruby Malone who is also a rich mans daughter and her father is a guy who Cole is trying to impress for business reasons.
This is also an age gap story as Ruby is 8 years younger than Cole and he knew her as a teenager and now she is in her mid twenties. Its also a fake marriage romance between two rascals. Ruby wants her trust fund and Cole wants to run her fathers company. And thats when the fun starts for these two.
