This is book 3 in the series about players on a hockey team that plays in NYC. It stars Olivia and Theo. It's a fake relationship romance between Olivia who is Theo's best friend, business partner and teammates younger sister. 

While it can be characterized as a sports romance, it really does not have many scenes related to hockey, and while the brother does not love his sister fake dating Theo, it's not a forbidden type of relationship either.

Liv is a former actress who abhors Hollywood. As a teen she was a very popular star on a very popular show but in the finale, things went sideways and made her see the bad side of Hollywood. Thats when she went into real estate, and she loves it and is very successful. She also is good friends with her brother's partner and best friend Theo.

Theo grew up with a bully father and a younger brother who hated him. They currently both play hockey but are on different teams and he is always trying to hurt Theo. Theo needs to go home and does not want to go so Liv suggests they fake date to show his brother up that he is dating her.

She also proposes they fake date because the anniversary of her old TV show is coming up and she wants to show everyone how well she is doing and that she has a very hot guy as her boyfriend.

Liv has many secrets and I love how the fake relationship opened her eyes and made her realize what she needed to do. The fake relationship made Theo realize that he had some very strong feelings for Olivia as he has to decide what direction he wants his life to go in.

This was a well thought out and interesting romance using the whole fake romance trope while two close friends discover that they might have deep feelings for each other. I really enjoyed the story and loved watching two people find each other and support each other.
