 This is Cade and Abby's story and I felt that it was told in two parts. It's an enemy to lovers' story, brothers' best friend, and fake engagement with a slight mafia angle.

Part 1 is from the first chapter thru the end of the 22nd chapter which is at 38% of the story. It all happens 8 months before the real present begins. It's also the period in time before Zara and Hunter have their baby. If you read the last book, it's the scene with Zara, Cade and Abby at the hospital and that opens up chapter 23. 

I am a new reader to this authors work and have only read Zara and Hunter's book. I fell hard for Abby and Cade in that book and so I could not wait to read this book. To be honest I did not love the first part of the story. Cade is extremely mean and hurtful to Abby, and he says some horrible things to her. I really hated that she took that from him and even allowed him to treat her that way and has sex with him. He then leaves her for 8 months and while that bugs Abby, I was really loving the separation.

But the second part of the story which is from chapter 23 and on was absolutely awesome. It's hot, sexy and Cade treats her so much better. It has action and a stalker, and I loved how protective Cade is of Abby and in this part of the story she has grown up, changed and gotten a strength that was wonderful to read about, and she makes Cade work for her heart.

This is a story about moving on, forgiveness, friendship, family and most of all love. Cade and Abby in this book follow their hearts and sometimes that's not always easy, but they also learn to love and forgive each other for the past. I loved this story so very much.
