ABOUT THE BOOK
I’m ancient for a hockey player.
Broody as they come.
I wasn’t always like that, I had love once, but it was ripped away in the blink of an eye.
Now all I want in life is to play the game I love and to be left alone.
Until I met the team’s new photographer.
I did my best to avoid her.
She was too young for me.
There was just something about her that called to me.
I’m not sure I can let go of my past, even if it means a future I never thought possible.

This was a really awesome story between Damien, an older hockey player who is 38 but who still loves the game. He has a big tragedy in his past, that his wife ended up dying in a horrific car accident. Since then, he has become grumpy, reclusive and a bit of a loner.
Things change for his team and him personally when Trinity ends up being hired as the team social media position and photographer. She is a breath of fresh air, with a fun-loving personality and she adores her new dream job.
The only issue I had with this story was the fact that we are never told her exact age. She is definitely done with college and has worked for a few other teams when she gets the job. So, I guessed around 25. A few times Damien comments on her being much younger or that he is robbing the cradle, but we never are told her age. For me this was a little frustrating.
Damien needs her sunshine, and he feels ready to move on with his life. At first, he and Trinity become friends but then things get romantic, and I loved how he leaves his past in the past and opens himself up to Trinity.
Despite Damien's loss this was a hot and sexy story that was a romantic and light read that I could not put down. I loved both characters and I adored their connection and the pace the author set for this story.
