🔥Single Mom

🔥My wife

ABOUT THE BOOK
Get married or move out.

Those are my options, thanks to the trust my grandma left and my aunt is determined to enforce.

From Marie Johnston comes a single-mom, marriage-of-convenience romance.

If I don’t get married, I’ll have to find somewhere to live that I can afford with two kids and a lot of debt—and do it without losing my brand-new job. When my aunt confronts me on the move-out deadline, I try to buy time. I blurt out a name. I tell her I’m engaged to Eliot Knight.

Eliot’s my boss’s brother and he’s been around the vet clinic where I work. He’s hot. He’s charming. He’s who I’d pick if I had to marry someone at a moment’s notice. But he wasn’t supposed to hear me. He wasn’t supposed to get dragged into my mess. And he wasn’t supposed to agree to help me. Now, we’re Mr. and Mrs. Knight.

We only need to be married for a year, and he runs his family’s ranch in another town. Three hours away. Yet circumstances keep throwing us together, and I get a lot of time with my new husband. I fall hard the first time I hear him say, “My wife.”

But our lives are still separate. At the end of the year, I’m afraid I’ll get to keep my house, but I’ll lose my heart and be left with nothing but endless memories.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Meet Marie Johnston

Marie Johnston is a RITA® Finalist, and a best-selling and award-winning writer of paranormal and contemporary romance – and an avid reader of them both.

Several years ago, when kids started outnumbering adults in the house, Marie Johnston left her job as a public health microbiologist to stay at home. Settling into working part-time and shuttling kids around gave Marie the opportunity to think about what she wanted to be when she grew up. A die-hard science geek, she explored her previously thought to be non-existent creative side after much time spent making snowman crafts and coloring princesses. Having entertained thoughts of writing a book one day then subsequently deciding it would be too hard, she finally put the figurative pen to paper and began to type – and fell in love with story telling.

The Sigma Menace is the first series by Marie with Fever Claim being her first book EVER.  She is humbled by the fact that people are willing to read to her books and looks forward to keeping readers entertained for many years.

Marie lives with her husband and four kids in North Dakota where the summers are gorgeous, the winters are brutal, and spring and fall are luxuries.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is Elliot's story and its a single mom, marriage of convenience romance with Lily who is a single mom to two kids and who works for his Sister in Law, Sutton.

Elliot is the last of his siblings who are married and having kids. He is a perpetual bachelor and has no intention of ever getting married because he has daddy issues I guess you could say. But when he finds out that Lily is almost homeless but if she is married, she can stay in her house, he decides what the heck to get married to her.

The issue is that Elliot runs a ranch three hours away. So while this is a marriage of convenience, its also a very long-distance type of relationship.

Elliot is this great guy, but he pretty much has his foot outside the door the whole time. Which was one reason I didn't fall for him. But he is also honest and has a great heart, so he tries his best to not get attached.

The person I loved in this story is Lily. She has this wonderful heart and family and while she is young, has two kids and a full-time job, she is one tough cookie, and I positively adored her. Part of that is her awesome family and I can't wait to read more about her siblings.

Her kids are so adorable too and I really enjoyed reading her story. I watched her get stronger and more independent and I really loved her so much.
