This is Nash's story and it features my fave little guy, Cutler aka Beef Cake and he is paired with the new doc in town, Dr Emerson Chadwick. She is taking over for the towns doctor who wants to retire. 

Cutler had a bad asthma attack before the book starts and Nash and him visit the doctor right after the attack and that's when he meets the new doc in town and he doesn't take it well, that the doc is retiring. In addition, he finds out that the doc is his new neighbor. 

It's a really fun story with Nash as the grumpy single dad and very hot neighbor. I loved watching Emerson meet the characters from previous books in this series and she has the cutest dog named Winnie. 

Emerson grew up in a small town close to Magnolia Falls and so she is a small-town girl, but she is only in town for six months, but no one can resist the people of Magnolia Falls. So, I really enjoyed watching her making friends. Some of the scenes really gave me a huge grin.
