ABOUT THE BOOK
It’s no secret that I’ve been in love with Jax Cartwright for half my life. A terrible decision, really, and not just because he’s my brother’s best friend or he’s ten years older than me.
Thanks to an overprotective family, he’s ignored me for years, but still, I can’t get his grumpy a** out of my head. And in a wine-fueled, post-bad date funk, I make another terrible decision: show up at his cabin to ask why he’s never given me a chance.
The storm that got me stuck there overnight was a total fluke, but I’m no fool. While Jax is perfectly clear about not wanting a family or love or any of the happily-ever-afters I’ve dreamed of, what’s the harm in asking for just one night? The worst thing he can say is no.
He doesn’t though, and I was saying yes, yes, yes a whole lot after that. Best. Decision. Ever.
One night is enough to feel like I can move on, and we agree to let it be a secret kept safe between us. But you know what makes it hard to keep a one-night secret about my not-so-secret crush? A positive pregnancy test.
Oh baby, things are about to get interesting.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the book I have been waiting for and OMG it was better than I could even imagine. It's Poppy's story and it's with Jax, the guy she has loved since she was 15, and Jax is her 10-year older brothers' best friend who is opposed to love, marriage and babies. And he goes through the wringer in this book, and I loved watching it happen to him.
After he gives her one night he goes away and when he comes back, OMG he gets the shocker of his life. I loved Poppy and I loved Jax for her. While she is younger than him, the truth is she is so much more mature than him. And I love that in this book she teaches him how to love, how to take risks, even if it maybe will hurt.
I also love that while he runs away, well she does not pine for him. She moves on and I love that she takes life and goes for it. No matter what it is. But I also love how fair and honest she is. She is not a game player at all.
This is my favorite book. I could go on and on and on about how much I loved it. It's because Poppy is this awesome character and Jax really grows in this story. I also loved his letter to her. Best love letter EVER!
