This appears to be a new series by this author but one that takes place in the same world that she has created with her previous book series. This is a fake fiancée/ marriage romance and I would say they are complete opposites. He is Mr. Straight Laced and she is Miss Free as a Bird.

Dev ends up with the worst haircut ever and when Piper offers to fix it any way he wants, he asks her to fake marry him to give his dying mother her last wish.

The first part of the book I did not love. The reason is Piper, she is too crazy and over the top. I think the author was trying to make me laugh and instead I just found Piper annoying. Dev on the other hand I really loved. He is a good guy and just wants to make his mother happy. He comes up with this crazy idea and he gets Piper to agree. A majority of the book is their engagement. 

The last part of the book is centered on Dev's mother and Piper's issues. She is terribly afraid of love. I really loved how Dev is with her. He builds her up and shows her how special and awesome she is. I really loved the last part of the book. It has its sad moments but also its triumphant moments as well.
