A
billionaire who wants a perfect wife...
At
thirty-five, Marcus Carelli has it all: wealth, power, and the kind of looks
that leave women breathless. A self-made billionaire, he heads one of the
largest hedge funds on Wall Street and can take down major corporations with a
single word. The only thing he’s missing? A wife who’d be as big of an
achievement as the billions in his bank account.
A cat
lady who needs a date…
Twenty-six-year-old
bookstore clerk Emma Walsh has it on good authority that she’s a cat lady. She
doesn’t necessarily agree with that assessment, but it’s hard to argue with the
facts. Raggedy clothes covered with cat hair? Check. Last professional haircut?
Over a year ago. Oh, and three cats in a tiny Brooklyn studio? Yep, she’s got
those.
And yes,
fine, she hasn’t had a date since… well, she can’t recall. But that part is
fixable. Isn’t that what the dating sites are for?
A case
of mistaken identity…
One
high-end matchmaker, one dating app, one mix-up that changes everything...
Opposites may attract, but can this last?

This is the first book I have ever read by this author and it was really terrific. I thought it was a very original story and it was well written and the characters were really terrific. The only thing I did not like about it was it did not ended. It ends on a very mild cliff hanger and going in I had no idea. I try to avoid duets and serials and books that will end on a cliff hanger and had I known it I would never have read it or reviewed it. That said it was also awesome. So Now I have to wait until February 2020 to find out what happens next.
This story was a lot of fun. Its about two very opposite people. Marcus is a 35 year old billionaire living in a Penthouse with a butler in Manhatten and who wants a trophy wife and he goes to a matchmaker to find him a wife. He loves his job and doesn't want anything to distract him from the job. He wants a polished wife who will be his partner and take care of his kids.
Emma is a 26 year old broke, going nowhere book store employee and book editor living in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn. She has two bestfriends and a great employer and three cats that give her love whenever she is home. But no man and so she lets herself use an app to find a date.
They meet for all of 5 minutes in a café when they think each other is the others blind date and Marcus falls into instalust with Emma. Nothing will ever be the same for either of them and that was the funnest part of the story. They have absolutely nothing in common but a lust for the other and so the fun begins.
This book was HOT, and slow burn and very original in that these two are so not what they think they want that they end up being adorable together. However Markus is about business 1st and romance 2nd where Emma wants to come 1st and so the story ends on a small cliff hanger.
