This is Sophie Montgomery's story. She is Isaac's daughter. We meet her in the original series in a novella about her dad and mom (Under the Mistletoe with Me). 

In this book we get a glimpse of who she was as a teenager when she loses one of her best friends in a very traumatic way. So much that as an adult it has inspired her career.

Then we get to know who she has become, and we watch her fall very hard for Ike, a football player who plays for same team as Sophie's uncle Will. Ike does not come from a great family, let's say he has daddy issues. 

This was a fast-paced story, and I could not put it down. I loved that we see a lot of Meg and Will in this story, and we also get some awesome girls' nights out with the whole gang.
