ABOUT THE BOOK
The forbidden fruit never falls far from the tree…
Carter Wallace is the quarterback for the Knights and an all-around good guy. At least he was until he was in an accident that took him out for the season and possibly for good. He's hurt, angry and acting out.
Lexie Masterson is a physical therapist and the daughter of the Knights head coach. All she’s ever wanted to do was prove herself to her father.
Drunk and feeling lost, Carter meets a woman at a bar. What should be a one-night stand turns into so much more. Until he finds out who she really is. Turns out the woman that is healing his heart, and his arm, is none other than the coach’s daughter. Even though he’s angry that she lied to him, Carter can’t seem to ignore his feelings for Lexie.
For Carter, one thing is certain. Whatever happens, Lexie is the one for him.

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is my first time reading this author. I really enjoyed her writing and the characters but at times I got frustrated by some of the characters choices. Aside from that I really enjoyed the book, and I loved getting to know Lexie and Carter as they fell for each other.
In this story we get to know three characters, Cody, Carter and Lexie. Cody and Carter are brothers who are in a very destructive relationship with each other. Cody is bitter and is an addict to drugs and alcohol. Carter loves his big brother and keeps letting him trash his life and health because he wants to believe in his brother.
Lexie enters Carters life when they share a very hot night together and both end up wanting more. But she has a BIG secret and when its exposed well let's say it gets complicated.
This is a very forbidden romance as she is the coach's daughter and Carter is a player on his team. This is a relationship that is destined to cause them issues in both their professional lives. But the heart wants what the heart wants.
This was a story that I enjoyed reading and I really grew to love the characters even as they are on a collision course where everything explodes around them. It was interesting the way the author has them work around their issues.
I also loved and hated the relationship between Cody and Carter. At times I am not sure I would have been able to forgive Cody, but I was impressed with how Carter never gave up on his brother. He is definitely a character that knew how to love and had such a big heart.
