ABOUT THE BOOK
Kelsey Scott has never wanted anything more serious than a hookup. Work triumphs all, men are simply trainable orgasm machines, and her friends and family are everything.
But with her brother's wedding rapidly approaching and matchmaking rapidly ensuing from all angles, she decides she needs a buffer from all the “perfect Mr. Rights,” the white tulle and frumpy bridesmaid dresses, and—ick—the heart-warming vows.
What she doesn't need is Tanner.
Her ex.
The only man who ever managed to weasel his way into her heart. And by typical male progression, the only man to break it. She’s done with the gorgeous, chocolate-eyed man who chased her down, got her to open up, and then promptly tossed her aside. She’s done with letting anyone past the barbed wire protecting her heart. Because if Kelsey has learned anything, it’s that she loves fiercely . . . and stupidly.
So no. No men, no matter how gorgeous. Definitely no emotional connections with those of the XY variety. And certainly no boyfriends. Not now. Not again. Not ever. But when she and Tanner get paired up as a bridesmaid and groomsman at her brother's wedding, Kelsey finds it hard to remember all her steadfast rules. Especially when it turns out that Tanner wants to get past all her defenses all over again.

This is part of a series but it easily stands alone as Kelsey is a loosely connected character to the series and Tanner is brand new to the series. This romance is primarily a best friend and little sister romance. It is well written and enjoyable, though at times Tanner was annoying.
At the start of this book we know two things, they both love each other but Tanner has broken K's heart when she was a teen ager. T is bestfriends with Seb, who is getting married to Rachel from the previous book in the series. He asks Tanner to attend the wedding as his best man.
Tanner is a photo journalist and comes back for the wedding. He had a very sad growing up life and became a brother to Seb and a son to his parents. Also K's parents as she is Seb's baby sister. No one knows but when she was 18 and T was 21 they had a romance but he ran away from her and she hasn't seen him since.
To a degree this is a story where T has to figure out what he wants and decide if its worth the risk. And K has to learn to trust him with her heart and better understand him.
At times I hated T because I felt he wasn't willing to choose K . So it was not one of best books in this series. That said it was still enjoyable, I just felt like throwing something at T.
