ABOUT THE BOOK
EDDIE: Cancel your dinky little roomette on the train. Iโm booking us two of the big bedroom suites.
BIRDIE: Iโll cancel it AFTER youโve booked the other sleeper rooms. And reimburse you.
EDDIE: Donโt worry about it. Just cancel your tickets. I got this. Round trip. Iโm on the Amtrak website right now.
BIRDIE: You donโt have to leave NYC when I do! Youโll hardly be able to spend any time with your Instagram girlfriend that you've never met!
EDDIE: Itโs fine. Sheโll be fine with it. Cancel your tickets.
BIRDIE: You arenโt going to stop texting me until Iโve canceled them, are you?
EDDIE: Damn right Iโm not. Just do it. You can thank me later.
EDDIE: Um. Did you cancel your tickets?
BIRDIE: Yes, Edward. I canceled them.
EDDIE: Okay, because it turns out they only had one Family Bedroom from LA to Chicago. But the good news is I booked it for us. Itโs the biggest room they had. The bad news is I booked it for us. And itโs the only sleeper room they have left now.
EDDIE: In related news, there was also only one room left from Chicago to New York.
EDDIE: Hands up if youโre excited! *man raising hand emoji*
BIRDIE: I am so mad at you right now.

BIRDIE: Iโve compiled a list of ground rules re shared train bedroom. Check your email, please read carefully, and refer to it again on the ninth of February. Thank you.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Before writing steamy romantic comedy novels, Kayley Loring got a BFA in creative writing from a Canadian university and had a fifteen-year career as a screenwriter in Los Angeles (under a different name). She mostly wrote PG-13 family comedies that studios would pay her lots of money for and then never make into movies.
In 2017 she decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and write about all the fun stuff that she wasn't allowed to write about in those PG-13 scripts. Now sheโs breathing cleaner air and writing dirtier words. Itโs an adjustment sheโs happily getting used to.
This was a wonderful bestfriends to lovers storyline with a touch of a love triangle, if an Instagram model can be a part of a love triangle.
In this story we get to know Eddie, an actor and his best friend Birdie. The two have been besties since college and even though they live in different cities they still are besties.
They both are single sorta. Eddie has a model girlfriend who he has never met but who lives in NYC and who he met and flirts with on Instagram and texts on his phone. But all thats about to change because he going to visit her in NYC for Valentine's.
Birdie who is terrified of planes is also going to NYC for a TedX on Valentine's weekend but she is taking the train. Eddie is nervous for her and so he convinces her that they should take the train together.
And so starts their Love Train journey which was a lot of fun. This story has romance, laughs, some silly moments and a train trip where two besties have to decide if they want to take a chance on love or hide from it.
While there is a slight love triangle with the model, that is rectified pretty fast and so it did not ruin my enjoyment of this story. Eddie and Birdie were really fun characters told in dual POV and I loved seeing into their heads and hearts.
