Laramie Briscoe is the best-selling author of the Heaven Hill Series & the Rockin' Country Series.
Since self-publishing her first book in May of 2013, Laramie Briscoe has published over 10 books. She's appeared on the Top 100 Bestselling E-books Lists on iBooks, Amazon Kindle, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble. She's been called "a very young Maya Banks" (Amazon reviewer) and her books have been accused of being "sexy, family-oriented, romances with heart".
When she's not writing alpha males who seriously love their women, she loves spending time with friends, reading, and marathoning shows on her DVR. Married to her high school sweetheart, Laramie lives in Bowling Green, KY with her husband (the Travel Coordinator) and a sometimes crazy cat named Beau.
This was a sweet, hot and romantic story and we really get to know two new characters to the series and see them get close to other characters in this series and previous series. In the last book featuring Cutter we met Rowan and her brother, Sullivan. Rowan ends up moving to town because she fell in love with Cutter and her brother ended up moving to town too. We really didn't know him well and so this story, well we get to really meet Sully and find out his past and what he wants for his future.
It also introduces some brand new characters to the series and most especially new lawyer in town, Shelby. Shelby and Sully have many things in common. One is that they share common friends, are both new in town, and they are neighbors and they also are hot for each other.
It takes Sully a bit of time to decide if he wants to pursue Shelby and that drove me a little crazy but I loved how sure he was when he finally makes his move. I also loved the new characters added to this series and I loved seeing all the fun characters and their significant others from previous interconnected stories in the series.
As with all books in this series, there is some drama but I would say its extremely light and I loved how tough and strong Shelby is in this story. If you love kick ass heroines and strong, silent type cop heroes you will love this story. I loved it and found it another great addition to this series.
