If you love sports romances this was a really good one. Smith is 36 years old, and he plays Centerman. In this story Emilia is much younger, at age 26, niece to one of the coaches as well as she works in the front office in the media relations department. The team also has a very strict policy against romance with players and front office employees.
However, two years before Emilia and Smith met and did not know who each other was and their connection to the Comets. However because of the rules they never dated again because they each loves their jobs and don't want to be fired.
In the present Emilia is up for a promotion and part of that is taping am interview on Smith's life and this brings Em and Smith into forced proximity again.
This was a well written and interesting romance. I enjoyed getting to know bother characters and loved seeing how drawn to each other they were. This was a fun forbidden romance with a ten year age gap but also Smith and Emilia are forced to work together.
My stance on love is that no job is worth giving up love. There are always more jobs out there but its much harder to find that special someone that loves you. So I did not understand Smith and Emilia's choices in this story. Can they figure out how to be together in this story? Well you will have to go on this journey with them and see what they end up choosing and how they can get it to work.
