This is book 2 in a series about college students, football players and babies. It easily stands alone as we don't see much of the first couple in this book, though there is a connection. It stars Ben who we met in the first book as he is Gabby's brother. Sienna is paired with him in a fake romance, baby daddy, angyst romance. Sienna was Gabby's best friend and roommate and at the start of this she is dating another guy. Luckily that doesn't last long.
Ben has an ex, she was his high school sweetheart who dumped him when he went to college and found a new guy and ended up having his baby. That is until she re-enters Ben's life and tells him that she was mistaken, he is the baby daddy.
Thats when Ben decides he needs some protection and he, the child (who is 3) and his ex all move in with Sienna and he talks Sienna into being his fake girlfriend.
The author made Ben really realistic as he was in therapy, suffers from panic attacks and anxiety and I loved watching him work through all that while also being there for his child, and Sienna and his friends. Ben was a very busy guy and I was amazed at his maturity.
Sienna herself has some pretty big secrets and I loved Ben's reaction when they are all exposed. She is very alone in the world and has a terrible relationship with her dad. I loved that the author gave her issues and it made her more real to me.
If you like second chances at love, college romances, single dads and football players who like to fake date their new roomies and friends then you will love this heartfelt romance.
