Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job.  

I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. 

If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. 

I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.

This is Emmett and  Adaline's book and its one that I have been really excited about. It's about two people who have loved each other from when they were teens and close friends but whose timing was all wrong. Its a wonderful second chance at romance with a lot of heart and it really reminded me that there is never a perfect time to follow your heart but that time is way too precious to waste it on waiting for the perfect moment.

We first met Emmett and Adaline when they are very young as The Plan stars their siblings who end up falling in love. In the present time they are both 26 and very successful in their careers. Adaline is just getting over a breakup and Emmett is realizing what he missed out in relation to a relationship with Adaline. Five years before when she confessed her feelings to him, he was not ready for a relationship, so she found someone else. Now he is ready for a relationship, and she is getting over her ex, very busy at work and her family needs her. 

These two have major stumbling blocks ahead of them and I really enjoyed watching them try and overcome those issues so they could be together. Sometimes when you fall in love its not easy even if you want it to be and I liked that the author gave them some very large hurdles to overcome. In many ways it made their relationship even more precious because it did not come easy.
