This was an awesome romance. I love the author and I have read this entire series and adored every book, but this was a really special story. It's a second chance at romance, and brings two series' together with love, lust, heat and betrayal.
This is Romeo and Gabriella's story. She is part of a hockey dynasty family. Her father is Justin Stone, and her mom is Caroline. Her siblings are Dylan, Christopher, and Abigail. Abigail is also her pregnant twin in this story. It's the sibling she is closest to, and they all live in Dallas.
Romeo is part of the Beckett family, and they are Hollywood royalty. He is an actor and his father, Tyler was an actor in Hollywood, his mom, Jessica was a reporter and his sister, Ryleigh is a lawyer. They are a small and close-knit Hollywood family. The parent's story is told in Hollywood Playboy.
Romeo and Gabriella dated for 7 months about 8 months before the story begins. They both were in LA, her for school and him being an actor when they dated and fell in love. He did her wrong and she dumped him and up until this story begins, we didn't know what he had done.
You will have to read this book to find out what he did. He messed up really badyly but what I loved about this story is he knew that and he realised he had a problem inside himself and he got help. He didn't like what he saw in the mirror and he took those 8 months and worked on himself until he felt he could work at getting Gabriella back. I loved how deeply he feels for Gabriella and that he wanted to fix what he broke.
What I loved about this story and Gabriella's character was that she doesn't accept his apology. She makes him suffer and apologize and until he tells her how he has changed and why, she makes him work hard to even get her in the same room with him. I also loved how he is with Abigail and the way he is so honest with her.
This was a wonderful second chance romance but also an amazing redemption story as well. I loved the Beckett family just as much as I adored the Stone and Grant family. And I cannot wait for more. I hope we get more of the Beckett family especially Ryleigh.
