This is Quinn and Ford's story. In a way its a second chance at romance because Ford has wanted Quinn since high school or age 15. Quinn though has always seen Ford as this hot unattainable guy who was her biggest competitor.

They have both crushed on each other since they were thirteen and fifteen years old thru high school until she went to college, and he became a firefighter. But never as friends but more as rivals. 

Fourteen years later Quinn is back in town as a new gynecologist, and she wants to buy the towns practice from this jerk of a male doctor. BUT he won't do it unless she is married.

Things get more complicated when Quinn bids on Ford in the town auction and he is determined she gets her date. 

This is a very HOT book. There are lots of sex scenes that really add to this story and this story is brimming with hotness. The author did a fabulous job to show us how much Ford has lusted over Quinn over the years.
