HEAD OVER HEELS - Wilder Family Book 2 - by Karla Sorensen (Ivy and Cameron)

ABOUT THE BOOK

There’s only one course of action when your dad wants you to marry a clammy-handed wimp to make one of his board members happy—you get yourself stuck in an elevator with a hot stranger and have the steamiest make-out session of your life. Years of etiquette lessons went out the window thanks to Cameron Wilder, who managed to unleash my hidden bad girl with naught but his talented mouth and deliciously rough hands.

Afterwards, he went back to his small-town life, and I marched home to inform my dad there would be no business-centric nuptials. As punishment, he shipped me off to Sisters, Oregon and demanded I turn a healthy profit on a not-so-healthy property.

You see where I’m going with this—the buttoned-up city girl stuck in a small town hires a local builder to help her … and he’s the hot stranger from the elevator. Turns out, I have a weakness for the broad-shouldered nice guy who’s not so nice behind closed doors. Keeping things professional gets harder the longer I’m in town, until the only lesson I have left to learn is how to keep both our hearts from getting broken.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Meet Karla Sorensen

Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job.

Karla Sorensen is an Amazon top 20 bestselling author who refuses to read or write anything without a happily ever after. When she's not devouring historical romance or avoiding the laundry, you can find her watching football (British AND American), HGTV or listening to Enneagram podcasts so she can psychoanalyze everyone in her life, in no particular order of importance. With a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University, she made her living in senior healthcare prior to writing full-time. Karla lives in Michigan with her husband, two boys and a big, shaggy rescue dog named Bear.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This story is part of the Wilder Family series and also takes place in the Washington Wolves Universe and is connected to the authors other series though it is also a stand-alone.

Wilder Family Tree!
SHEILA marries TIM
She has three kids and He has three kids ;
they also have one kid together

HER KIDS
1. Greer  (One and Only is her and Beckett's story and is Book 1 in the Wilder series)
2. Erik  (His book is The Plan and he is paired with Lydia in Washington Wolves: Next Gen series))
3. Adaline (Her book is The Crush and she is paired with Emmett in Washington Wolves: Next Gen series)

HIS KIDS
1.  Cameron- he works alongside Greer at Wilder Homes and is her bestie (THIS BOOK- Head Over Heels)
2. Parker- he plays football with Beckett and is a good friend to him. We don't see a lot of him in this book.
3. Ian- Has moved home from London. The next book is about him.
ONE KID TOGETHER
They both have one child together and her name is Poppy. She is in her early 20's and is very close with Greer. We get to see a lot of her in this book as she befriends Ivy.

Ivy is rich in business and in wealth. But she actually is very poor in family and in love. Her mother died when she was very young, and her father raised her. He raised her to never show weaknesses, not need love and be strong and independent. There were no hugs or kisses or words of love. Now he wants to marry not for love but for business and it freaks her out. But it annoys her father, and he pretty much sends her away and won't talk to her or see her.

Thats how she ends up in a small town where her grandparents lived, and her mother grew up in. It's also where she ends up getting to know Cameron and his whole family. It's really her first exposure to family life as Tim and Sheila try to befriend her as they knew her grandparents. They welcome her but she is very hesitant as it's something she has never experienced before.

She is in town to clean up her grandparents' house, fix it up and sell it. She hires Greer and Cameron to renovate it. Cameron and she have this amazing chemistry, but she has a lot of walls up that he has to tear down. It's a good thing he is in construction. Right?

This book easily stands alone but if you have been reading the other books connected to it, you know that Cameron's father, Tim has Cancer, and he is dying. I want to make sure that other readers who are sensitive to it are warned because this book can be a real tearjerker but also its beautiful because he has so much love in his life.

Poppy, Ian, Greer and Cameron are the siblings we really get to know in this book as they all live in the small town and it's also where their business is based. I really loved how welcoming Sheila and Tim are to Ivy and they never give up on her. She was an awesome character and I really loved her with Cameron.
